I don’t know who is doing that. Also I doubt that law will make people more evil, unless they look for excuses to ride the hate train against people who want to be different. Personally I don’t give a wet fart about anyones gender. It doesn’t interest me at all how people define themselves, I really don’t care. However, I think that they should be able to freely do that just like other people should be able to read what they want, cut their hair how they want and eat for breakfast what they want, without a group of haters assembling and picking on them.

Okay. Well, that makes sense. There are crimes that the police has to investigate and crimes that need action by the victim to be investigated. Any crime where the victim may be afraid of reprisal is (in most western countries) automatically a crime that police needs to investigate/prosecute no matter what the victim says. Certain form of hate speech could potentially fall under that logic I guess.

We live in times where EVERYONE tries to show themselves as the biggest victim, as you do here @Dracvlad . It makes no sense. You have shitty people everywhere, every color of skin, every gender or sex, every language, every brand of shoes. But also you have lots of pretty reasonable people.
As a white middle aged male…well I could write a lot about the problems you (most of us I assume?) might have. It’s complicated, but I don’t like the two extreme choices some of our peers seem to make: declaring themselves victims or declaring themselves guilty. Both is stupid.
In general I think a positive attitude towards others and keeping curious about the world while also maintaining a basic set of morals (coordinates: mutual respect, same rules for everyone, strong helping the weak) is a good way for any middle aged white male to go. It’s sexy and cool.

Exchange is normal, but “private property” is not. Note that “private property” is related to means of production (e.g. the materialized work of others which allows for creating more goods) and if means of production are privatized it happens in a manner of theft/robbery or exploiting other peoples work.
I’m not even fighting, just learning about the historical process that lead us to where we are now and which helps to understand that any economical system only works temporarily until it is replaced by something more useful.
I do. I’m an anthropologist by education, there is no such thing as more than 2 genders. Just because someone feels insecure or offended don’t mean whole society should bend into their believes. I don’t care what they eat, read etc. I don’t agree with haters assembling and picking on them as you wrote, but you can’t regulate those things by law. It is arguable to even start with.

I’m really puzzled how people still fall for Marxes ideas when there is so much empirical evidence of it not only not working but ending in a complete desaster with millions of dead people.

How do you define capitalism, in your own words.
There are various definitions, but in its simplest form I would say “voluntary exchange of goods for mutual benefits”.
A simple form could be two tribes exchanging goods and becoming specialized at certain things and in the process both tribes benefit from the exchange.

Thats is not “capitalism”.
Trading/exchanging happens in all systems.
Mostly it is the other way around. People start reading Marx to try and understand how their moral ideas fit the brutal reality of a system they don’t fully understand.
Marx delivered a very scientific analysis of the basic principles of capitalism, but also high end research about highly specific economic developments all over Europe and the US.
Being puzzled about people taking it as a source is like being surprised that people still relate to Darwin, Einstein or Leibnitz. None of them was always right and of course their works are base for further improvements just as possible wrong directions, but it doesn’t make their original work wrong, as long as what they analyized still exists.

Not really. In a comunistic system you have no trade but dictated distribution and that is exactly the problem.

Even in USSR/China, one gets paid for exchanging effort/time/expertise for currency/resource which you then trade/exchange with someone/thing for what you want to acquire.
Equalitarian is not a term.
