We have hats - can we get helmets? Would be cool if we could have matching helmets on some of the combat suits…

Why would a pilot in a spaceship wear a combat helmet? In WW2, some aircrew (really only US) wore helmets to protect from shrapnel, but in space, if a projectile penetrates your cockpit, a bit of shrapnel is the least of your worries. Yes, current astronauts have helmets, but they are spacesuit helmets to protect against depressurisation or for spacewalks. It is as daft as those awful covid masks which characters started to don; to protect themselves against a virus when in sole occupancy of an incredibly advanced life support pod…
For the cool factor, naturally.

Most military helmets aren’t designed to take a direct hit, even frontline combat helmets. For the pod scum, the reason for it would be to keep you from cracking your head on the inside of your pod. Probably not much of a risk, but the helmet would provide an extra layer of protection.

I like it, definitely would be cool to have matching Helmets for all of the Combat Suits, especially since those suits cover the entire body…
Obviously the Combat suits are meant to protect the Capsuleer’s body… However it doesn’t make sense that the Capsuleer’s head is left exposed and unprotected, especially since that’s where Implants are placed…
