Maybe you have a look at this entry in EVE Installing - #15 by Gharim_Turen or this post EVE Installing - #18 by Gharim_Turen. In case that it is to much effort just install wine and the windows-version from eve launcher.
For Ubuntu 18.04 i have used this package EVE Installing - #39 by Gharim_Turen.
