Now for funny stuff… the longest name of a place in the world:

That’s Maori for a hill called “The summit where Tamatea, the man with the big knees, the slider, climber of mountains, the land-swallower who travelled about, played his nose flute to his loved one”.
I’d bet it was meant as a joke until people just started using it…
And then for the longest Icelandic word:
Vaðlaheiðarvegavinnuverkfærageymsluskúraútidyralyklakippuhringur
Which means “A keychain ring for the outdoor key of road workers shed in a moor called Vaðlaheiði”. Hang me if I know whether it’s a real word or just something someone coined for the lulz.
There are many longer “words” but they exceed the 200 characters limit, and all them have been coined just to be the longest word in the world and thus are not actual worlds.
