Hi can eve please make many more types of ore in hi sec, low sec, null sec and wormhole space? I want to see more ore types in the future! We had the same 1s for 20 plus years!!! I think the OP means they want ore from null, low, and j-space moved into high sec? The title is asking for more types of ore. Either way it is a bad idea. People would gravitate to the center of the galaxy more than ever. The cool ores are found in risky locations, it is a challenge. Without challenge, EVE becomes FarmVille.

I see some known names (like ABC…+M) and some names of ICE… But then it’s small part of the list You presented here…
of course, all of that is real ore / ice that can be found in the game. And on top of that come all those WH and LowSec gases that can also be harvested. And then we have lots of Planets that can be harvested via PI (not actively, but the resources have to be collected and reprocessed and so on…).
People who are really interested in resource harvesting and building up a production chain to make profits have vast opportunities to do so, in all areas of the game. It isn’t that the game is too boring or offers them too little, the players have just become lazy and want to be spoon-fed. What they want is belts of valuable resources spawning right on their head and ideally no risk and interference from others while grabbing it all for themselves.
And then sometimes I ask myself: If they don’t like difficulty and challenges and player interaction, why the hell did they chose a mass-multiplayer online game that is known for it’s PvP focus and pretty harsh environments? They would probably all be much happier just playing the X-Series. There they can grind aaaaaallllll daaaaaayyyy looooonnggg and absolutely no one will come and try to stop them from building the biggest space empire around.
Crazy… It’s just crazy… Can You remember what reasons CCP used to add such a huge amount of new ores? It was plenty even in times of ABC…
Plain wrong as already stated. You need to check maybe patch notes and the market to get to know about the 20 new ores introduced in recent years. Aside from moon harvesting, gas clouds, PI and Ice belts.
No, sorry. I am not that interested in mining, but I assume they wanted to create some lurcative “hotspots” (aka rare-ores) that could be found in certain locations and that makes that location “conflict zones” or “zones of interest”. And for Moon Asteroids, they wanted to move the moon-mat harvesting more into players hands then just having them extracted by POSes. Now you have the alternative: Mine manually in space for a LOT more mats or passively with Moondrills (that also can be attacked).
So, either those who arrive first (and have to be very quick) or those who can forcefully dominate the area can gather those resources. Both leading to player interaction and both reward knowledge, cooperation, coordination and the will to take some risks.
I for example live in a WH, but the ores and gas sites in our own home WH are depleted very quickly of course, since many players live here, organized in an alliance. That means, to gather more ore or gas, we need to “raid” neighboring wormholes. Which leads to conflict with others who see us or those who live in those wormholes. They will try to kill our miners. They will try to cut-off the connection. So we have to fight. Or gather intel in which timezone they are and try to sneak off “their” resources when nobody is at home. Or we estimate how many forces they can bring and escort our miners with more than they can handle. It adds strategy, tactics, spices up the game. It makes the process of gathering these resources worth something, it helps establishing relations and increases cooperation and fun for everyone involved.
Unfortunately, thats something the usual HS-miner who believes “rocks should just spawn endlessly where I live” will never understand. Nothing is more boring in EVE than unchallenged mining.
