When I try to block or mute a troll in the forum, if that user has a hidden profile you don’t get any option to block them. I don’t know if there are other methods to block trolls or what exactly im doing wrong, but the options shouldn’t be disabled just because their profile is not public.
If only blocks and mutes would work properly. I keep getting notified about the Big Lottery scam by the forum every time that guy posts a new thread, despite a blockmuteignore.
Did you subscribe to the event subforum and maybe that’s why? Just a guess. Btw what’s the scam in it? ![]()
How long has that scam been going on by the way?
Is it automated or has that person really been copy-pasting the exact same thread for years?
No idea what the scam is, but what do they have to gain from spamming the exact same advertisement all the time to draw people in?
Why do they create a new thread every time to hide any possible comments of any of the hundreds of previous versions?
Never bothered to look deeper into it, but it has all the signs of a scam to me.
My problem with ignoring people is that they’re not actually gone. You still have their tripe on the page. When I add someone to ignore I want them to be vanished entirely like a black mirror episode.
I see a notification about their latest forum post in the NEW tab. I have not muted the Ingame Events forum because I want to see other stuff being posted there.
I wasn’t suggesting muting it, as I wrote:
You can sub to specific subforums, which may or may not supersede you muting people who post there. ![]()
@Uriel_the_Flame isnt worth wasting a mute on.
I assumed this is the same thing, but no, I am not specifically subscribed to that forum.
I could log in to Lily Flapper and propose to you Uriel
That’s odd then why those threads keep popping up for you if you’ve muted / blocked the guy. ![]()
That’s very interesting, however instead the 5 bil ISK is fine, in exchange you will get maggie in a follow up contract. ![]()
Maybe I should post more often. ![]()

It’s just one of these dumb socializing features from Discourse because its devs are adamant that you are not allowed to completely ostracize people you don’t like.
I guess, or they’re incompetent. Not sure which is worse. ![]()
By the way we all know @Akkar_Kardashev is reading these posts as he can’t resist the urge to show hidden content. ![]()

I have to add this need to be a bit easier to implement an ignore type of feature. I being told over and over your harasser has tried to contact you, is not a valid option.
Trust level is too low to ignore ppl
