High Sec Freight Unviable - Ganking Is Too Easy

I’d Imagine the gank locations are predictable so it shouldn’t be too hard to find the ganks.

If only there was someone who could organise a corp freighter pilots could join with an alt and help other freight pilots haul.

Hmmm, I’m pretty good at solutions to a problem if there are people willing to listen, I’d actually enjoy organising fleets, liasing with freight pilots and defending freighters. We could train up a good handfull of fleet commanders to follow a standard and make the corp an entity that all of hi-sec knows and loves.

I’m tired of the gank threads, so yes I might start something. If it’s a success, cool, if it fails and I’m trolled into oblivion then that’s also cool, I just want to be in the midst of battle with a purpose, and what better purpose than helping a poor hauler get their stuff from A to B!

If only that were true.

I’ll probably do the math at some point but on the face of it the idea looks ok, bumping might be a problem but then we have a bonus on the osprey.

I’ll have to visualise the scenarios and possibillities, ultimately if it is possible to rep the freighter to match the DPS being inflicted then that’s a start. If good reps are achived then the only option for the gank fleet is to attempt to move the freighter out of repping range or somehow stop the reppers without too much loss.

So the gankers would need extra numbers to primary the logi, the concord timer starts once the logi is primaried, It looks like this would immediatly double the amount of gank pilots needed

It’s absolutely possible. In F.L.Y. S.A.F.E. (my antiganking guild) we do this all the time. You can also use ecm Griffins, one jam knocks out a ganker DPS. Many ganks come down to a narrow margin, so you don’t need to neutralize the entire ganker fleet, you just need to do enough to save the target.

Our ingame antiganking channel is FLYS.

How often is an anti-gank fleet mobilised?

We monitor the gankers for activity and assemble when they do. Good locations to watch are Jita, Gheth, Uedama, and Juunigashi.

We also have a new website!

That is untrue. I recently lost a Navy Osprey to a Vexor Navy Issue in Low Sec while running a FW site. I had the ship almost into hull but the VNI sent his drones in. The crew that came in after I called for assistance in fleet, finished the VNI off.

Sounds like you need to work on your diplomacy skills.

Sounds you like need to work on reality skills.

Such a simple life!

Damn 90 new messages within a day or two and all of them junk because it is Dryson who came back from dead to cry about ganking again. I thought you hide into lowsec faction warfare because highsec is too dangerous. Are you back?

Dyson does make me laugh , particularly his punchup earlier, with the forum clown.

Oh, this is actually pretty cool. +1 internet cookie for Aiko for not only being the queen of ganking, but the queen of anti-ganking as well.

Im certain you are grasping at straws.

Explain to me how Low Sec is less dangerous than High Sec.

The danger of high sec is that suicide gankers have infinite safety from which to hunt a target. Which is why Jita always has half a dozen artillery Tornadoes sitting outside of the undock.

As long as it has absolutely no value on the market.

What you don’t see…as you scurry to safety inside the station…is that those in the Vargurs, Lokis, Machariels, Tornados, etc, often themselves get ganked. People often have this mistaken notion of all these ships hanging around safely outside Jita. It simply isn’t true. But then….you’d have to not scurry into the station in 0.5 seconds flat to notice that.

Jita is actually one of the un-safest places in the game to hang about.

Nonsense - you are quite safe in the station.

Now what would be fair is if gankers got an EJECT CHICKEN button whereby you get ejected in your most expensive ship with all your plex and valuable items transferred to your cargo hold for being such a chicken and hiding in a station.

Upon ejection “Praise AIKO” Will be broadcast on your behalf in local.

I am pushing X to doubt that Vargurs and Machariels, or even the relatively cheaper Lokis, are being used in suicide ganks at the Jita undock.
