CCP AND CHINESE SHIPS. THAT EXPLAINS IT. :face_with_hand_over_mouth:

Complete and utter nonsense.

I survived being a noob, 4 years ago, despite all the alleged noob destroying perils you rattle on about. I was ganked just a few weeks after starting EVE….yet I am still here today and flying Marauders and have every T3 ship. I have 6 Omega chars with over 3 Trillion ISK in kills between them. And if I, who started EVE as a carebear, can manage that then anyone can.

So quit the BS. Nothing needs changing other than for noobs to have a little more backbone and determination. And if the germ of that isn’t there in the first place….well, they are playing the wrong game.

God forbid that we make the game easier for those who can’t be bothered.

That’s a war dec target, but nice try

Read the topic of the post, Also the me,me,me mentality doesn’t work in any situation in game or irl,.
Not everyone is just like you..

Some people need cheat codes for Dark Souls, those same people demand ganking be removed from Eve.

Are you trying to say harassing new players via wardecs is not griefing???

:white_question_mark: :red_question_mark:

He is a war target,. you are so dishonest and toxic,.. it would be so pleasant to never have to deal with extremely toxic people like you. You ruin everything around you in games and irl
Stop responding to me, you are dishonest and toxic

So what?

You pretend you aren’t griefing, just because you issue a wardec? What if I declare war on all the miners, does that mean I’m no longer a griefer? You harass and kill new players who can’t shoot back, dropping Cynabals and Lokis on Ventures and Corvettes, what you are doing is way more griefing than anything I do.

You sir have no idea of what I am ganking. But it doesn’t really matter what I am ganking because you will always have a problem. with it. Because ganking without profit is wrong and griefing but at the same time gankers should never get profit from their ganks anyway.

Gankhaters and their logic.

Ok. Let’s learn how to read then.

So from what I gather, there is an unknown qualifier, that is entirely decided by you, about what constitutes as ganking and what is considered griefing. You also say that if I gank for profit, it’s apparently fine, but then you propose changes that let CONCORD take away all my loot too:

hahahaha!!

To me, it looks like you just want to destroy this neat little playstyle that me and my friends, as well as many other players, enjoy and aim to perfect every day. You don’t understand how many roadblocks and obstacles are already placed in the way of a fulltime ganker. And with all the small but numerous tweaks and balance changes, ganking has become more restrictive, difficult and expensive to perform.

And somehow, this playstyle is still alive. Because unlike all your miner friends that quit the game over losing a shitfit retriever, every single ganker learns how to deal with the crap that the game is subjecting them to.
And here is a funny fact: If everyone played rationally and excercised due dilligence in fitting, attentiveness and safe travel practices, ganking, in it’s current state, would be dead after a single day. Ganking is not overpowered, infact it’s quite the opposite. When I gank you, I am starting a damage race against CONCORD that, at it’s maximum possible time, doesn’t even last half a minute, and my ships will be guaranteed to be blown up, so you don’t even have to damage me. These are incredibly shitty odds to be picking in a fight with someone.

Guess what, in the vast majority of cases, we still succeed. And that has nothing to do with any overpowered mechanics that make ganking super easy (haha!). It has everything to do with us finding and using your mistakes against you. And no matter how much EHP the developers throw on all the ships or how many more roadblocks to ganking they introduce, CCP can’t fix you making mistakes and blundering your ships away.

Since you didn’t engage with any of my points earlier, and I’m convinced that you won’t because it doesn’t fit your ganking is evil narrative, I will just skip forward to my suggestions for you:

Appreciate that the universe is still dangerous enough that you need to pay attention.
Stop whining.
Tell your friends to get a grip and get good.
Remain humble and willing to learn.
Enjoy the glory that comes from conquering your greatest challenges.

With ganked regards

Ganking is 100% avoidable. Based on this very simple fact, we can conclude that if someone is ganked, they were a willing participant in the gank.

There is a lot of prep work required though that then goes against the risk vs reward principle.

If it is easy to make, don’t transport it, instead make it yourself or order RedFrog to deliver!

Getting ganked in a video game is not victimhood, thats completely offensive. Touch grass.

What do warzones have to do with anything? If someone decides to shoot you for fun or profit IRL the cops cannot save you, they can only punish the perpetrators.

I think you have a fundamental misunderstanding of risk vs. reward.

You don’t simply not mine for gold because there’s a risk of a cave in, you shore up your mine shafts and mitigate the risk. Only when the cost of risk mitigation outweighs the reward do you decide not to do it.

Risk mitigation, aka ā€œprep work,ā€ is a part of the entire risk vs. reward principle, and not something that goes against it. Yes, with a little prep work, a gank will succeed, but on the same coin, with significantly less prep work, you can completely avoid the gank in the first place.

The preparation is like not mining right on the beacon and deciding which modules to lower the risk.

At least I hope that I am mining ICE lower than average risk currently.
