Man someone is astroturfing really hard the past while.
Noooo. I don’t want to relax anywhere in Eve. I want to kill stuff, especially relaxing capsuleers. Please come and relax in Lonetrek. I could do with more kills.
I can name at least 4 regions where it’s virtually to completely dead from gankers. People like OP keep amplifying the falsehood that gankers are such a huge community! Gankers look for the easiest to kill, the poor fitted, and the uninformed. HS is SO BIG compared to the manpower gankers have.
Most often the kills are along trade routes with some solo gankers who live in their own areas.
It’s also good when they find the whiners to, because without this guy crying every day, the forum wouldn’t have half the traffic it currently does
Survival of the fittest, OP. And from the sound of it, you need to hit the treadmill…
Hey, I just sent you an Eve-mail.
Replied. I’m heading to bed now, but you know how to reach me.
I have to warn you: I turn everything I touch into drama and fuckery, apaprently.
Me gank you long time
Wish someone would come gank me out in low have to actually go out and find content instead of it coming to me. Miners are so lucky.
I wasnt Ganked for days. Whats wrong with you guys? Is my ship to shitty?
Try a paladin they seem to love those, maybe because its gold and shiny?
Never undock with a ship if you cant buy it again. So I prefer to fly with ■■■■ ships. You get em almoost for free.
20 years on and people still haven’t figured out that they have their understanding of sec status backwards. NULL - IS - THE - SAFEST, Low is the most dangerous and hisec is somewhere in the middle.
Sec status relates to how much the game intervenes to provide safety. It doesn’t measure how much the player base adds over the top of that. That is, areas that are relatively safe to operate in, in nullsec, are only that way because other allied players provide that safety and not the game.
We are just better at it than mechanics are.
However, if you truly believe nullsec is safest, go fly a freighter there and compare it to flying a freighter in highsec.
Way too complicated. Just create 4-5 alt accounts. But with only 5 alts you’ll be limited to barges and battlecruisers, so create 10 or better 15, so you can go for the stuff that is actually worth undocking for, such as marauders or capitals.
The gankers spend >90% of the time docked, either playing with fits or afk. Only once a sufficiently juicy target was spotted and the tackle is imminent he will undock. So they’re relaxing most time anyways.
Highsec gankers, however, are relaxing even while they gank. Unlike in low, null or j-space, they don’t need to “work” to get as many of their ships to survive their ganking attempt as possible, for concord will wreck his surviving ships to begin with.
You’re creating this thread because you cannot relax sufficiently well in highsec. If you want to “relax”, as in not meeting “competition”, join a nullsec block. Null is way safer then anything else in eve, including wormhole space.
They don’t need to dock. They can perfectly enter a forcefield, and sit inside of it until their criminal timer is gone. You can watch them do that in Ohide, among other systems. The POS will be camped by the faction army because a good highsec ganker has super-negative security standings, but gladly the ganker can warp out of the forcefield w/o having to leave the forcefield before initiating warp, which would get him wrecked by the faction army.
You can just wardec their POS owner, warp there and start shooting their POS. They never put defensive assets to it in highsec, so it’s unarmed. If the gankers leave their forcefield in order to defend their POS and fight you, the faction police will kill them for you, so basically they’re donating you a free POS killmail. Just that you miners are too carebear to take it.
Highsec gankers and wardec grievers have just as many alts as nullsec “elites”. They’re exactly the customers CCP wants.
Yes! I’ve seen that too. Amazing!
The way I see it is that those who fall victim to suicide ganks actually are the ones who’re “Out of Control”.
You see, if they’d be in control they’d not get into that situation. And as a result that impending suicide gank would not happen.
There are several reason why a capsuleer would be out of control.
-
A budding new bright eyed capsuleer.
Can’t really blame a new guy for being new and messing up. In this case a gank would be a service providing a strong hint that previous conduct carries risks and should be avoided in the future. -
Slow… Stubborn… those kind of things.
I guess these are the guys that just keep getting mowed down. Maybe the out of control thing is deliberate and they wear it as a badge of honor. I guess it takes a certain kind of balls to keep on mining under the circumstances our prone to ganking friends of highsec create. That or it’s just plain and simple the other thing. -
Victims of bad corporations.
There’s plenty of these where leadership takes in new people and just gets them set on the path of behavior that just don’t fly with reality. Then eventually reality hits and it blows their mind. Because they just can’t figure it out. But unless they don’t fall into category two there’s hope. -
Plain ol’ bad luck.
Sometimes you just in the wrong place at the wrong time, get a sudden urge to sit on the throne, early dessert etc. Happens to everyone one way or another. And most of the time its fine. But there will be that one time your number was up.
Apart from blowing up noobs without filling them in on the errors of their ways if they didn’t get it the first time I see absolutely no problem with ganking as is. Many people are involved, they seem to enjoy themselves, it creates opertunities for others as well and supports and instills what I believe to be a healthy playstyle allowing them to grow into fine well rounded pilots who’ll get far in this game.
In short. Good content.
To be honest I never considered Sec status to be safe. It’s all about density of players. HS has the most concentrated mass of players like an urban city. Contrast NS is the “rural frontier” significantly less players relative to the size of the space. Finally, LS is somewhat in between honestly like the suburbs sometimes sparse sometimes packed with people.
That’s just my 2 cents.
A very good point.
