High‑Sec Mining in 2026 as a returning player from 6 years ago

Not all, I do a lot of solo stuff and I do things in Low sec all the time. I know people who solo in Pochven as well. There are plenty of solo hunters in all areas of space. You can even be a solo player in a null corp and ignore the politics. But remember that this is an MMO, and they cater to players who group up first. Solo play is not the focus, but EVE does a good job of having options available.

Your problem is that you have a skill issue that’s so bad that you’re unable to recognize that it’s a skill issue. That’s all.

Other solo players do not struggle the way you struggle. That means it’s entirely possible for solo players to thrive despite your claims to the contrary, and it’s up to you to figure out how that works instead of expecting the entire game to bend over backwards to make itself easy enough for you to stop feeling like a failure.

I’m not going to grace any of your individual “points” (such as they are) with a response because, as always, it’s just nonsensical AI-slop that doesn’t reflect reality and exists exclusively to fatigue the reader by baffling them with ■■■■■■■■.

Yes, for you…its definitely a skill issue.

Im not sure why you had to again, post a crap ton of ai slop to make a point.

Again, youre b..tching about this games evolvement. New ideas are implemented…thats going to promote some kind of change. You cant leave a game the very same and never change anything. Guess what happens….the very thing that youre b i t c h ing about.

Aannnddd again, this is how games evolve. This is change that all games must go through in order to stay interesting. You cant just expect your little paradise to be tranquil forever.

At this point, youre doing nothing anymore but just splitting hairs to keep these fantasy issues going and the attempt to use ai to explain to us that this game is no longer what it used to be is just plain silly. Its was pretty obvious after you made the first post, that this game is not for you any longer…or was never for you in fact.

Aahh hah, so thats the thorn you have stuck in your side. Finally a real possible reason why youre so miffed.

Are you trapped there? Is that the issue? There are ways to get out of there if thats why you keep this tirade going. Youre not trapped? Then go find a new life in the game. Go find a new place to rebuild that wonderland you once had and flourish. Stop worrying about what happened six years ago.

This is absolutely a skill issue. Your skill issue.

There’s no quantity of slop that you can generate that will change the fact that a player of “average” skill doesn’t struggle with the issues that you perceive as insurmountable.

Just learn to play.

TL:DR:

”Triglavians stole my gameplay and my mates all ragequit, abloobloobloo”

I didn’t like the Triangle expansion much either tbh, but Pochven offers some interesting shortcuts and is one of the few places where you can take a fleet to do PVE but then also use the same fleet to fight other people doing the same, which is variety even if you don’t like the gameplay.

Every game has expansions which either don’t quite live up to what was promised or make the game worse for some or all players. I’d say history will probably say that Invasion was one of those, the promises for Trig players didn’t materialise well enough to keep them happy, and it seems that a portion of highsec was upset too.

I can’t see it happening, but would reversing the Trig invasion so the Pochven system’s gates started working again connecting them back to their old systems help you?

Nah, that’s not even it. Every word that they post is dishonest and insincere.

A post prior the slop was about how they couldn’t fly their rorqual solo in nullsec because null players are big old meanies , which is about as far removed from triangle-space-concerns as one could get.

Also something about what has ccp learned from the past like the Exodus of EVE . You can see it here : in this vid : Catalyst Major Update | EVE Online > at around time 22.35
they say “we’ll tweak and see what the impact is,” it sounds like repeating the same mistake: measuring afterwards instead of mitigating beforehand. That’s why many players feel CCP learned nothing from the Exodus era.
A stunning example how they work and how ignorant they are when the past is repeating itself .. you know it is out there… and you can find the evidence in those youtube vids yourself.

Just like the silly points in this thread.

Having helped the trigs liberate Niarja is a proud point in my EVE career, but the trigs didn’t go far enough. We should have continued until all the highsec chokepoints went final lim, so we could split it into islands connected only through low and null.

Thats the crux with public available AI: It makes dumb people feel smart, further diminishing their motivation to actually learn and improve. And feeding them with plain wrong information. It’s like a fertilizer for stupidity.

What a goofy thread lol

You don’t get rich by going to Null Sec. You get rich by getting several Omega accounts, skilling them up, and then Multi-boxing them every day.

That is Eve Online. Playing ten different accounts at once.

And Multiboxing. You have to multibox.

You can drop HS income to 0 ISK and I’ll STILL stay there after seeing the cesspool that is Null sec. I’ve lived in that hellhole twice now and it hasn’t gotten any better. I made 8 mil an hour mining solo because you can’t make money in Null unless you have 5 or more accounts all pounding away together at the same time. All that just so you can pay the Omega tax in PLEX and still have enough leftover to say, “Look at me! I’m earning ISK!”

Sorry- not my style. Null sec sucks. High Sec is freedom. I’m not going to be a multiboxer with 10 accounts just to play a game.

Playing 2 accounts is bad enough and that is my absolute limit.

Though it was quite amusing being all the way down in Null Sec and seeing the exact same ore being extracted from a moon that i can easily find on a High Sec moon!

Mining income sucks, we all know this. Mining is also an awful activity to do solo, you need to multibox it with at least four characters regardless of where you’re doing it.

For a truly solo player, nullsec profitability would mostly take the form of robbing ESS or just doing exploration. Mining is not the way to go, especially not if you’re trying to have any sort of fun.

“Robbing ESS”

You’re doing that thing again where you’re not speaking English

Ah.. I looked it up. You realize I can make that in HS right? That’s not worth going to Null Sec for.

ESS robbing- rob ESS banks, take the stolen bonds to a player owned station you can’t dock in, store them there, wait three weeks so that you can then transfer them to asset safety, and then jump clone to Jita so that you can retrieve them from asset safety (taking a 15% cut from your profits).

All for MAYBE 100m ISK per hour- that you did 3 weeks ago. Or you can transport them to Jita yourself every week risking destruction.

I would rather mine Veldspar for free.

If you’re playing EvE to get rich, you’re doing it wrong.

Something that really chaps my hide in all the games i play.

I sure do see this little statement getting carelessly thrown about a lot lately. If someone is not following a rule that somebody else thinks is the correct way to play a game…then its wrong.

I really dont think people think in the right frame of mind when they say this to other people. I have an opinion about you folks that think theyre playing the game improperly.

How about minding your own damn business. How about letting folks do what they want, how they want to do it, and when they should be doing it. Its not always about isk per hour and all that crap. Its about enjoying the moment. If youre one of the people that continue to tell people “youre doing it wrong” then youre the ■■■■■■■ problem.

Just stop it…you sound like a goddamn moron.

If it’s fun, that is all that matters to me. If you find mining veldspar for free fun, have at it.
