If you do it to get a response it’s a gank .
If it’s abandoned in space it’s fair game .
This is why I asked earlier that you define what you mean by ganking, because it sure does not seem to align with how it is generally used in EVE Online. ![]()
He just lives in his own little bubble. Why should he care for using terms correctly?
Where as that other guy likes to talk in third person about people they don’t know because they bare nobody and haven’t got over it yet
Kage, most of the people on this forum ‘do not know others’ besides what those people have said before on this forum or in the game, as this is a place for people from all over the world to talk about EVE and is not a place to talk with the people you happen to ‘know’ from real life.
So, continuing to talk about people ‘not knowing others’ is irrelevant to the topic and pointless.
Better is to talk to others based on what you do know about them. People say things here, you could talk about what they say.
Welcome to EVE Online ![]()
EVE is not supposed to be doing anything about it. It’s a Player vs. Player game and it’s working as intended.
That “tumor” is the game ![]()
Ooooor they just don’t know themselves.
Eve is a role play game, if you struggle to know yourself you will struggle to know the character you have chosen to play. That frustration will manifest, often in negative, aggressive and violent tendencies (in game that is), like a toddler struggling to understand and develop their own identity.
I would suggest Null, WH, Pochev or Low sec for these people. At least their tantrums about other people having better toys will be acceptable there .
Why do you make it sound like you feel superior over those who enjoy PvP in this game that you call their chosen gameplay style ‘struggle and violent tendencies’?
Are you using it as a coping strategy that even though other players destroy your ship you can still feel superior over those others?
A more healthy and constructive way to cope with loss in this game is not to blame others, but to improve yourself.
You probably wouldn’t blame your opponent for beating you in Chess for ‘violent tendencies’ either when they take your pieces there. So why would you in EVE?
(Or if you did, you never would get better at that game either.)
I get it, it’s the easy way to deal with loss in EVE: others are to blame. And if you lose another ship it is again because of wrong game mechanics and the violent tendencies of toddler-like players. And so you lose again, and again.
And so you keep losing ships at the same rate and keep coping because you haven’t identified the direct cause of those losses:
Your skill issue.
No player knows how to play from the start. We all started there and all got killed. But only those who realize they have something they can improve will improve, because blaming others for your losses just means your only way to deal with the next loss is to blame again. And again, and again until you move to the forums to complain about toddler-like behaviour essentially because you, unlike a toddler, seem unwilling to learn new things.
I find the concept of “sound” in written text to be highly amusing .
If you are hearing sounds while reading I’d suggest contacting a medical physician as that’s not a regular occurrence, urgency should be added if you are also seeing colours while reading also.
There is nothing wrong with enjoying PVP, there are even areas (mentioned above) that are dedicated to providing space for you to indulge in the PVP you so much enjoy.
There are also areas of the game for people to enjoy PVE that they enjoy. Why do you feel the need to take that one space away from others when you have 4 other areas for you do what you enjoy ?
Have you a problem with others having toys too ? Do you want all the toys ?
You do understand that the more you push this “we want all the toys and sweets” rhetoric the more you will find yourself sat in the sandbox bored as no one wants to play with you anymore and have all gone to another sandbox that you are forbidden to play in . Further more your sandbox may well then be deemed obsolete due to lack of use and taken away leaving you and your chums sat in the mud with nothing to do .
For the sake of your own sandbox I’d say learn to share or your sandbox will be taken away.

Someone has forgotten to consider that the reader may be Deaf and therefor have no concept of “sound”.
Nice attempt at a gotcha though bro 6/10 for effort ![]()
I would expect even deaf readers to know about figurative speech and to know the concept of sound, especially as they often have to deal with the lack of sound in their daily life.
You seem to think I only enjoy PvP. I enjoy PvE too, and PvP. PvE can also be fun in parts of space where PvP is allowed after all!
There is also a part of space which only allows PvE, no PvP: Exordium.
You seem to think that high sec space is a PvP-free zone too, a misconception that people have been trying to point out to you.
Yes and you get higher reward for the risk you take.
Others may not wish to take such risks they might not be so bold.
You have your 4 areas of space, they have theirs .
The more you drive them from their desired location the more likely they will leave.
Being a minority this does not bode well for you
And it is working as intended:
CONCORD is one of several policing forces in High Security Space (0.5 to 1.0 security status)
While CONCORD forces do react quickly and with force, they do not have a mandate to protect attacked players and as such will not necessarily be able to prevent eventual losses if attackers can field sufficient firepower to destroy their targets before CONCORD can intervene. CONCORD should therefore be regarded as a force of retribution, not one of protection.

Are you saying he “lacks the concept of logic” so to speak? ![]()

If someone does not want to play a game where piracy and spaceship combat against other players are a thing, is EVE really the right game for them to play?
![]()
So you want all these people to leave the game ?
There’s a difference between piracy and being an ass.
The talk is all “providing content” and “making people learn”
But then you have the chats that taunt targets, the blogs that mock people simple for enjoying mining or missions or epic arcs or being new.
Do you honestly believe that after so many years people have not seen through the failed pretence ? You are antagonists who enjoy winding people up. You have found a gap in the game mechanics to do so. You don’t target specific people or afk players you target everyone it’s your MO to be as much of a pain in the ass Possible the whole “we are helping” is just a lie that everyone can see and has been able to see for a while . Like a bratty child though most just Ignore you.
Of course it is. You can do it as a challenge to survive and thrive nevertheless. There are many people that do this.
However, it then is really awkward if you complain in the forums on a daily basis about it, while it was you to choose to do it on that terms.
A normal player would learn from their errrors or try a different method and not start complaining for weeks.
I’m not saying that people need to want to partake in PvP themselves, but even avoiding PvP can be a fun playstyle and one I often enjoy.
If others too like the non-aggressive playstyle of surviving in a universe with threats from other players then EVE is a fantastic game for them.
I think there’s even a corporation that does just that, EVE scout.
The people I talked about are those that enjoy neither PvP nor the act of avoiding PvP.
So let me clarify my earlier words: if staying alive because of your own effort is not interesting to you, is EVE really the right game to play?
The actual stats, which anyone can find on killboard, don’t support any of that. Here’s the actual kill numbers for Safety for the past few years…
2022 32,234 kills
2023 27,286 kills
2024 36,281 kills
2025 17,926 kills
2026 13,775 kills ( thus far 2/3 of the way through the year )
Far from increasing…its actually dropped by 50% or so. And its not just Safety. Ganking has overall decreased. I can recall back in 2021/22 Dodixie used to be swarming with gankers. It was a scary place to hang around at. Go there now and you can undock and you’re the only person in space. Same with Amarr. People who say ganking has increased clearly don’t remember just how much more there used to be.
