Wondering if it would be feasible to make a mining Mini barge for newer players. Thinking it might be good to have a limited mini mining barge that would be in between a Venture and a mining barge. As for bonuses for a mini barge it would be nice to have an ore hold that can store 7500 to 8000 ore in ore bay. It could use civilian strip miners that would be derated strip miners that are only a bit more than mining lazer 2s. Could be a bit tanky for low sec not sure on that. This could really get new Alfa players into mining and generally the mining advantages for a barge its the reason I will be buying Omega.
how long have you been playing for and are you an alpha player?
Not that long and have played Omega as a miner, currently Alfa but will go Omega next week as will not be playing this weekend. Mostly thinking this would introduce a new player to advanced mining benefits and entice players to play an Omega miner with a barge. I already got a Retriever just not playing with it yet. And played long enough not to make it a huge bonus to mining.
see the thing is a venture gas huffing, can almost make enough money to pay for a barge that is fully fitted

I have not tried gas huffing yet to scared about getting gaked. Need to figure out how to survive low sec. I am playing on a laptop and no screen room for d scan.
are you in a corp, and also low as long as you get lucky can be safer then null

Could do an Alfa + thingy. So could be a mini mining barge designed for Alfa players but they would have to buy a one time Alfa Miner package for a reasonable amount of money, This would give them the skills to operate a mini mining barge etc. I have seen a lot of games successfully use this model in buying certain user packs. Also would be great for players taking a break from Omega and playing Alfa.
Alphas donāt need more and better stuff.
The server does cost money, the employees do cost money and Hilmar needs a new Yacht or Jet or Helicopter every once in a while.
Pay the goddamn sub if you want āmoreā. Else be thankful that you can log in for free. You are using hardware and software paid for by my money.

Actually I am buying paid content currently using a weekend pass as I can not play a lot of hours during the week as I have real life to deal with. Also bough and buying starter packs to play when I want. Monthly Omega just does not make much sense for me right now because of lack of time to play and a $1.39 currency conversion rate where I live. I really could not care if they added this suff or not.
Anyways going to stop posting forum posts in Player Features and Ideas. and not sure yet if I want to continue playing Eve Online.
Long story short, itās never going to happen. Alphas. Give 'em an inch, and theyāll take a mile. If CCP caved on this, then the next time it would be āWell, I think Alphas should also haveā¦ā and so on and so onā¦

I can see how that is true
The odd thing is that Alpha players seem not to need any encouragement to take up mining. In Highsec, itās almost all that new players (Alpha or not) ever do, at least for a while.
Mining has low skill requirements (at the basic level), requires little to no manual dexterity, is easily learned and - I canāt believe Iām saying this - can be undertaken whilst doing other things (risks apply).
Any addition to the line of mining vessels which allows Alpha players to store larger amounts of ore, and/or to mine it more efficiently, will cause problems, I think.
The Venture is almost a joke-ship in my view. For a start, itās yellow; then thereās just something weird about itā¦ But it is a valued stalwart of the belts in EVE and I wouldnāt like to see it displaced by something which was thought up on a whim.
I used to fit mine with smartbombs and take out mining drones.
