How do you define ganking, pvp and trolling

alright and what do you find fun about it do you get that same joy with npc’s answer that and actully think about it and this is not a therapy forum I would like to get back to the questio at hand

i like it when i was faster than them and managed to catch them, that’s the whole point i would say

ok fine you find being faster then soemone fun I don’t under stand it but I won’t juge for it
also I know I have said this before but could you share this thread with your ganker freinds

i have no friends, that’s why i like PvP

ok now I understand you and your motives

Ganking = entering an area where someone else can shoot you or posting on the forums.

PVP is the same as above, just with a little more finesse.

Trolling = you doing something so stupid, you get get called out for it. Being it in game or in the forums.

fair enoguh

Sorry for being harsh. But you have to know this is an old game that used to have a lot more numbers and that the bitter old vets had to learn it all the hard way.

ive have hard way just jeck my kill borad for refrence

is that a complament? serious question

Sadly, and I am sorry to say, no.

The very worst part is you missed the very best part of the game when it was 50/60k players. It’s just an old nitch game that doesn’t fit well into today’s mainstream.

When the ad reads “This game is not for you.” They were actually correct.

I like the industry and mining aspect of the game I just hate the act of ganking with a pssion doesent mean I am going to quit in fact it only motivates to kill people like that and see how they like it one day once I have a good enough ship I will

I started as a combat toon. Everybody should simply because it teaches you how not to get killed. Being a indy toon means that you have supply chine issues. I spent hrs, days, wks if you think about it covering our small corp mining fleet for ships at cost.

Then you can’t be krill. I used to call them sheep, but you get the point. I fly like everything out there is out to get me. It’s not as bad these days, but the old habits still stick with me.

That is the spirit of the game that’s it is supposed to invoke.

I. Will. Not. Give. Up.

You have already turned to the dark side!
Best of luck and fly safe!

You didn’t troll,
You were advocating for the other position, even if you do gank.

There is nothing wrong with that.

In fact, you could argue that you were being sympathetic.

Don’t let the alt of the alt of the alt OP gas light you man.

I do it all the time. It’s important to see the other side of the issue even if you don’t agree with it.

  1. I fixed your terrible spelling and grammar so it makes sense.

  2. Good. Strap on some gun, and come at me. Though, I doubt you ever will. I heard that same threat countless times. Hundreds of times across low sec and high sec and never once did anyone ever make good on it. I doubt you will to.

  3. Once I have a good enough ship… Keep telling yourself that. Why? Because there will never be a ship good enough, because what you’re really hiding behind is fear of failure. I’ll tell you something brother. You shouldn’t fear a loss in pvp. We all loose ships and it’s expected. It’s also why industry exists.

Keep vetting him! I’m stuck in the not blue, kill stenotype.

Night all!

No, no , don’t do that !

The solution to violence is more violence.

Zaera orders you to pod a capsuleer right now !!!

Zaera knows all sweetie

Oh yeah - right in your salt sack.

Calm down miner

Oh don’t be silly, Zaera will be your friend , but first you must give fang 1 billon or gank 300 miners.

Nobody cares , you are just an insignificant miner, at bottom of the food chain sweetie.

Now get back in one of your noobie ship , await your next ganking and don’t forget to say, “Thankyou. Praise Aiko Danuja, Hound of Halaima, Mistress Mercenary” the next time you are ganked.

As @Geo_Eclipse_Oksaras has indicated, above, suicide-ganking can only occur in Highsec, because the ‘suicide’ part of the term refers to the unavoidable loss of the ganker’s ship to NPCs (CONCORD). This happens nowhere else in EVE.

There is an argument for using the term ‘ganking’ in other contexts. Since it describes a stealth ambush of an overwhelming nature, it might easily apply in Low, Null or WH space.

However, common use of other terms and the general dropping of the ‘suicide’ part of the term in EVE-speak, has resulted in the term ‘ganking’ being used only in the context of Highsec activities.

‘Ganking’ has entered the EVE lexicon, and all experienced players understand its meaning and use it appropriately.

I noticed a rather silly notion in this thread; the provision of a choice between being engaged in a fight and of not being so engaged. Aside from the fact that the ‘duel?’ feature already exists, here follow some wise words, paraphrased from my erstwhile mentor, James (His Excellency) 315:

If (in Highsec) you give people the option of engaging in PvP or not (via some sort of toggle), they will never consent to PvP.

Competing is central to EVE. Without it, the game is simply a space-sim for dolts.

They don’t get it @Zaera_Keena, because they don’t like to perceive themselves as ‘insignificant’. There used to be pride in oiling the wheels of commerce from a comparatively lowly position; but not any more.

Here is part of a short video, actually titled ‘The Internet Tough Guy’ - from an EVE Online perspective. Miner Trigger Warning Advisory.
