How Do You Find Joy?

I did mention it but I guess she thought I was joking. I wasn’t though. No Man’s Sky is a PvEer’s motherlode.

You assume much.

I found joy in a very hard game against other humans. No tougher opponent out there. No AI is as sleazy as another human, AI (so far) is just too logical and hence, easy to predict. (Should we survive that long.)

Who remembers Grid Fu! :smirk: Learning skills?

And even with all the tutorials out there now, EVE’s learning curve is still

hard.

The game was a niche game that tried to go mainstream, something the basic idea of the game precluded. Never mind the old code.

Yell and cry all any of you want. NO ONE, and I mean no one in the apx 10 yrs I’ve been following the forums has come up with a fix. Not the Dev’s, and surprisingly, not anyone in the forums? The Dev’s can be excused simply they can’t think of everything when planning against other humans.

The experienced player base could not come up with a compromise either.

How “did” I enjoy EVE? By picking on the hardest targets out there at the time. The Null blks! :smirk:

I heard your alt got banned.

News to me, but how in the world would you hear about moderation?

Creating drama maybe?

I guess you aren’t so smart.

I’m Smarter ThanU.

If you’re so smart then how come you’re not playing a PvE game instead of whining about Ganking in EVE?

Did I whine about ganking?

Well it read more like a supplication. I pictured you with sackcloth throwing sand on your head.

The Gnosis is actually more flexible with energy weapons. Inncluding drones, I have a Pulse Laser Gnosis that can deliver 850 DPS, and a Beam Laser Gnosis that can deliver 750 DPS. But more to the point, I can also fit capacitor boosters ( as energy weapons use a lot ) and signal resolution amplifiers. A Navy Harbinger has greater range but less scan resolution. I also have a Prophecy, which at Level V on the various skills should be a real beast. Also…worth noting that Amarr Cruisers gain an extra 25% on turret damage for each extra level…so a Navy Augoror can be really nifty in DPS.

A good deal of my ‘joy’ comes from working out better and better fits for ships.

I have generally found that between 15 and 20m SP a whole range of new fittings and ships and options suddenly explode into life., including Tech 3 ships.

Yes. You compared it to suffering.

Well of course. It’s pretty obvious you’re yet another oldbie hiding behind a ‘noob’ char to have some vicarious whine about the invariable ‘they’ that you’ve never been part of on either side and thus don’t actually represent. Which makes up 90% of the OPs on this forum.

He’s another bittervet who brags about playing the game for over a decade, but he’s got nothing to show for it, and all he does is cry about ‘griefers’ and ‘gankers’ because they ganked him.

I think half the problem in Eve, and I’ve had this myself, is that people think they are doing fine because they get complacent. Like me recently thinking that a nearby station and the Star were good safe points and finding out they were not by losing a ship after being chased to one and then the other. Lesson learned. I needed that ship loss to teach me quite a few lessons…and now have a completely revised fitting and good safe spots.

That is how Eve losses should work…as training tools.

But gankee victims never seem to grasp that each loss is a lesson…and as I’ve seen mentioned quite a few times in the ganker channel they simply return to the same spot in the exact same bad fitting and expect different results ! If they spent less time riling against gankers and more time exploring better fittings and better practices they’d have far less to rile about.

There’s really two types of people, in EvE and in real-life. There are people who get stuff done, deal with challenges and move forward. Then there are people who just cry and whine, complain that everything is unfair, and never get anything done.

A killwhore, happy for you that you got a KM

Is this because you got a killmail? Perhaphs you can train Safety. with your vast knowledge.

I wonder why. Is this incase we will find out you are blowing hot air?

Your mileage may vary though. But even then at least you can have a smile or even a laugh.
