The game is a PvP game. The economy is based off the destruction and replacement of player used components. if no miners or cargo frieghters get destroyed there is no demand for their product. All materials that can be gathered in the “safe” areas would become worthless from over abundance.
Asking to not be shot without consent at in a PvP game it’s pretty counter intutive. I could see if the game was only PvE for a while then added PvP, but PvP has always been pure PvP and is arguably 10x safer than launch.

CCP need to create a new content instead of just fixing existing problems. There needs to be a new direction something different.
A couple of ideas -

Create some new startbases which are much closer to the planets, obviously they would need a new name like Skydocks, they could also create new missions on the these planets.

New Enemy or update and existing Alien, where have the Sleepers gone?

New Ship Design competition, yes it has be done before but this time it could be fleet of ships rather than just 1 design.

Update the player Avatar, make it more realistic with a more selection of clothes. yes i know that you are not going to bring back WIS but this part of EVE has not been updated for a very long time (have a look how Sims 4 looks). I think users would buy the clothes if you create more variety of different looks and styles.

You forcing control on others who want to pvp in hishec, is neither a solution.
It’s a pure design choice, based on no evidence other than the hot air blowing out your ass.
You think a direct correlation exists between the people leaving the game “en masse” and hisec pvp, and believe this will kill the game.
Thing is people have left the game and suffered such loss, some percentage don’t come back, and some do.
Those that do come back, realize that without forced pvp and non consensual asset destruction (be it in high sec or anywhere else), the game just wouldn’t be, the economy would stagnate, people would overinflate supply, and sheer boredom, would just kill the game.
There are simply less people now because the attraction to the mmo market as a whole, has simply aged, and one could say Eve is still doing very well compared to others.
But I’ll be damned before we see this game turn into a safespace kitty haven.
And you’ll still be here pushing your dumb ideas for the game, all alone, against the entire community…
