How To Handle 'PvE Only'

Ursa Miner (sic)

I just did a search. Usra Miner isn’t a constellation or a system, they’re a couple of corporations. Are you saying those corporations have Carebears in them?
I would think the Carebears would be NPCs in powerful rainbow-colored ships.

Jeez, I have 2 million. That’s not even poor then, it’s not even on a chart.

its a word play

urso means bear in portuguese , ursa is probably a derivation/origin
miner , well because they like to mine

lol 2 million is beyond poor

there is null bears around this forum that make some kind o lobby that earning 200 million / hour is toooo low poor me :sob:

No.

Recon Frigate, Probe Launcher and salvager, all you need to kick start a fortune

Oh so it’s players then. No Carebears, just carebear-miners. And they cry a lot… that’s unbecoming of bears, they rather growl.

Thanks.

That’s 1 billion every 5 hours. But I don’t see myself being a miner. I think I want to explore and see all of new eden, maybe kill some pirates and find cool stuff…

I think I want to have fun in this universe, not run after the isk, that would bore me in a week.

Appearances can be deceiving.

i mean your positive and curious spirit in contrast to a negative and whiny one

No one likes a whiner so I make it a point not to whine. Plus this is a game, it’s supposed to be fun. Not much fun in whining, is there?

No idea what made you say that but good for you

It’s simple. I “run” after real money irl, I spend hours and hours poring over reports, maintenance tickets, paperwork for the subcontractors, visitors’ lists, then I have to watch security camera’s images for 2 hours a day and then I have to type full reports to my bosses. That’s 40 to 50 hours a week making money. It’s not a game and there’s very little fun in it.
Why would I then play a game on my time off to run after money again?
When I decided to play EVE I want to be an explorer and see what cool stuff I can find, maybe shoot some pirates and possibly get hunted by real players… that sounds like fun.
Doing everything with the end goal of being isk billionaire isn’t what I signed up for.

I wasn’t under the impression anyone said it was. That’s why its wierd for you to just say that.

I guess I still had this in mind then

I doubt I’ll ever get to over 2 billions but 13 billions and he says he’s “poor”.

Lots of things can be weird until they are explained.
This whole game is weird and cool at the same time. It’s weird to me because I don’t know much about it but in time it will cease to be.
Like right now there’s these threads about untested Amarrian tech and suns going supernova and gates shutting down… it’s all very wierd to me. Just now getting to know what’s going on with Trigs. That’s even weirder.
I hope I can learn what’s going on before my character is affected by all that, if at all.

I’d invite players looking for an experience that has no threat of PvP to check out a different game such as Astrox Imperium. I do not believe that it is prohibitively difficult to avoid PvP in EVE by any stretch. Far, far, far from being so difficult as to require the changes being suggested by those that would prefer a purely PvE experience.

Personally, I find that it really spices the game up. I would be sorry to see that threat removed or made into an opt-in mechanic.

For once I’ll be very concise in my answer:

People with an aversity towards PvP - especially to the point where they want to change the nature of the game - have no business in this full-PvP game. They should find another game, instead of insisting on breaking the spirit AND the economic backbone of a player-driven market.

by all means, with its own forum, so that this one finds some long deserved serenity.

My opinion is different from yours. I think it’s fine for people to want to play a game and to also want changes to it that will allow them to enjoy it more.

You don’t want serenity, you just want all opinions you disagree with to be banished.

A few hours a day mining in a barge and you can have a billion in a month or so…even mining in highsec. The other option, if mining or other ratting is too much of a grind, is to buy PLEX and convert it to ISK. I think its currently about 900m ISK for £10 of PLEX.

I find there’s a certain level of ISK beyond which you really don’t need to keep grinding or buying more…because expensive ships are ( hopefully ) lost less often. For me that’s about 10bn ISK ( across 8 characters )…of which half is tied up in ships and fittings.

You don’t get out of being wrong merely by having a ‘different opinion’.

I’m not complaining about my isk. I have enough to have fun right now. Besides, I would rather have fun in EVE than slave away for isk.
Mining isn’t my thing. I need more action than that.

Yes, that’s possible but I want to see more of the game before I spend money and going Omega+PLEX wouldn’t be a problem for me. I just want to make sure I will have fun or it’s no use to paying for it.

8 characters. How do you keep track of that crowd? I doubt I will create another character. I don’t think I will need it plus it’s additional costs on top of the one I have and as I said, everything is too expensive in this game. I would rather concentrate on the one character I have.
Thanks for the tips.
