AFAIK, CCP servers have problems with both lag (delayed packets) and packet loss. Either can cause disconnects. Try using an ethernet cabled connection as opposed to WiFi, or run some tests to see where on the long Internet path between you and CCP you’re seeing problems. Game servers are in London, iirc.
