Perhaps the better question is “How do we get a better quality of customer to play EVE?”.
Anyone unable to finance their game playing either through subscription or plexing and then spending time spamming complaints in the forums are not the consumer either CCP or PA should be catering to in game design. Companies need money to run and produce a product; trying to convince business owners that people unwilling to spend money for a product, yet expecting the same freeloaders will then splurge on overpriced vanity add ons is a fool’s errand. Unlike BDO where there are plenty of players who want to play dress up so they can watch their scantily clad female strut up a roadway, EVE players want serious spaceships, solid servers, and complex fulfilling gameplay.
The current paying customers have shown that they are willing to ante up and spend money for the right to play a full game, yet there are those who seem to believe that the potential money coming from a group of people already loathe to part with their cash is the future of EVE. Really?

I think I agree with you. I come in as an alpha with this misguided conception that I could grind and play for free forever, realized that it was basically a glorified trial account anyway and just subbed. The fact that there’s people with zero life or more likely botting in order to play for free needs to be addressed. Death to the alpha clone!

Free game-time (Alphas) is free game-time. PLEX isn’t an issue. However if it is true that they are Omega-gating Level 4s, that’s a real d!ck-punch. Otherwise why allow BS skills for Alphas at all? You pretty much need level 4s to be able to even make Daily Alpha Injectors a reality, even for the most dedicated… unless they want nullsec full of clueless noobs ratting in their Megathrons or Armageddons or Ravens.
