No, I’m just fitting out a Brutix Navy Issue and working out how to put my skin for it on the market.
It’s about the NEED for omega for a game newbies don’t understand yet that seems complex as hell, is 2 decades old so who even knows what state it’s in and looks and feels archaic AF.
Perhaps they’re just trying it out, perhaps they only play 5 hours a week, perhaps they aren’t won over by how you don’t have a character you control etc etc etc. ACTUAL newbies who aren’t tutored or who don’t have friends who already play the game will probably NOT be won over by “if you don’t get omega just don’t bother. P.S. I have 6 accounts” and all the other sweaty tryhard nonsense that gets pushed.
SOME might, but most won’t. And the more other players (and CCP with all the injectors and SP on the store) keep pushing this idea, the more difficult it will be to attract and keep newbies.

Well that’s 65 million years less than you’ve been trolling the forums. Did you get confused as to the purpose of this button while you were in Aisha’s alarming phase where you couldn’t work out whether to be Alpha or Omega ?
PLEX is on its way up again (6.6m and counting). With the Omega sale on in the NES until Dec 24, we’ll probably see 7.5-8m territory as players exhaust supply. So add another 10-25% ISK needed to my outline in the OP.

It’s anyone’s guess where PLEX will end up in 2025. We’ve seen a 30% increase year over year (4.8m to 6.4m), so my money is on 9.6m-10m by this time next year.

Look, if you already enjoy the game so much, just pay the small fee in your country’s currency and upgrade your account that way. Doing so also helps CCP keep the lights on, which means you and everyone else can continue to enjoy playing the game.

Except the better deal is Omega in the NES.
A year ago one got 1.3 billion ISK for £10…now its more like 1.7 billion ISK. But that is countered by ISK prices of stuff having gone up. Ships that used to cost me 60-70m to build are now in the 90-100m range.
It’s great if you buy PLEX to sell, to be sure.
Nothing is for free. Just to be on the game you have to pay internet provider + tax.
I don’t think most people include their Internet as a cost of playing EVE.
I do.
Don’t forget the cost of gas to hit up 7-11 for Cheetos and Mountain Dew.
The electric bill.
The rent on your mom’s basement.
The cost of a dozen poop-socks.
The roses for your SO when you spent your anniversary sitting on a gate instead of taking her to dinner.
The cost of the plumber after a burrito fueled marathon structure bash.
The lawyer fees when served divorce papers.
And so much more…
