Currently 6 months Omega sits at 120 Eur…
So for the first time it’s cheaper to upgrade your Omega status via Plex
than getting Omega time it seems… or am I missing something???
Which is cheaper?? It seems Plex offer is the way to go…
Buy 6000 PLEX for $184 and then buy 1000 for $35. Then use 6600 of them for two years game time with 400 left over.
Or sit on the PLEX while you wait for a game time sale and get 20% off the 6600 PLEX for the 24 months.
Either way, it’s a whole lot cheaper than coughing up $270 for two years Omega in the online store.

If the price in $ is the same, I would pick PLEX. With that you can decide when you want to play with a Omega account or not. With other words, you can pick your breaks whenever you like.
Just keep in mind your skill training speed is half while Alpha and also that the skill amount you can queue as Alpha is also severely limited (meaning you actually have to check in every once in a while or more often depending on what you are training if you don’t want your training to stop due to no skill left in the queue).

Yes, that’s true, I know. I was thinking of a 1 month or longer breaks. Yes, you can’t keep training with your Alpha account (at some point) That’s the price you pay for not paying CCP I guess. You’ve to make the decision, A. keep $20 (or more) in your pocket, or B. keep training with Omega. But from my experience when your done with EVE for a while you don’t care much of not training skills for a while, especially if you already have all the skills trained that you want.
But having that decision is worth it. You don’t have that when you pay a 6month (or whatever) Omega subscription in advance.
Btw, I think that’s the reason why PLEX is normally more expensive than just a subscription fee.
Even the 3 month plex deal is pretty good, I just got mine yesterday for 1000 Plex,
it’s about 11$ per month
