PLEX or Omega time? Asking to veterans

I am considering buy a 24months Omega subscription but, for 5 more days, there is a discount on PLEX which makes me wonder what’s the best to do

According to what I found:

  1. Omega time for 24 month is 270$
  2. PLEX ( currently on sale ) is 191$ for 6000

To have 24months subscription with PLEX, it is asking for 6600 PLEX (in the in-game menu) so another small PLEX pack of 1500 at 51$ would do it, for a total of 241$ and 900PLEX left.

Now, the Omega time subscription is advertising a 15M skills points boost. Are these instant skills points to be used? Because it would be a big difference.

I am not looking at only the cheapest (PLEX seems to be the cheapest for the next 5 days) but what are the benefits of both options.

You missed the timeframe for double/triple/quadruple saving by a few days. You have to work out the combination of options that works best for you, but the maximum save would involve:

  1. buy not at CCP but at reseller with euro to dollar conversion (only works for europeans obviously)
  2. additionally use promo codes for reseller (e.g. marquee dragon with codes available in the internet) to get discount
  3. buy CCP discounted PLEX at reseller
  4. with discounted PLEX buy discounted gametime in NES

The Omega 15M skillpoints is what you earn during your active subscription. Nothing additional and instant.

If you go to markee dragon for plex and use the code rushlock you can get a further 3% off, bringing your plex discount to 23% off.

I thought these 15M SP were too good to be true, so PLEX at discount is the way to go.

Normally I just buy a 1 year subscription… However whenever there’s special deals available for select game packs, I’ll also buy them since they usually have different items included with the Omega time..

Since you’ll have 900 PLEX left over after you buy the PLEX deals, I suggest before you apply it to Omega time, consider buying the special deal for 1 month Omega listed in the Neocom bar on the left side of the screen…

The reason I suggest buying that is mainly for the extra 100,000 Skillpoints which you can assign to any skill in your training queue… Plus the Advanced ‘Boost’ Cerebral Accelerator is a nice bonus for increased skill training time… One last thing, training the Biology skill will give your character a 20% bonus per skill level to booster duration…

The 15M omega skill points isnt a plan its what you get from training at max training speed with attributes and implants and such.

Yes, your idea of PLEX is the cheapest option for you atm with the bonus PLEX left over. Sometimes in the past CCP will give you a PLEX sale AND an Omega sale. This is the optimal time to buy game time as its one after another. But yes it depends on how long you want to wait for a great deal.

On top of that theres new Mastery packs in the NES that have some decent options as well for game time, added SP and other boosters and goodies.

While it should be obvious some might not realize this so: you have to finish training the Biology skill to have the effect applied when you inject your booster, it doesn’t apply if you train it after activating the booster.

Every single pack I have ever bought that includes skill points have appeared to be used whenever you want.

Those points appear at the bottom of the skill window and you can apply them as you wish, just as the ones you get from completing the dailies.
