How to solve the Multiboxing Problem for PVE -> Make it a CHALLANGE

,

10-20 years ago sure… There wasn’t a bazillion other games which are more suited to short fast fun gameplay…

And I think you are thinking too small. there are atleast 4 ppl who could near solo the entire csm elections if they used all their PAID toons.

Having over 100 PAID accounts is nothing new… so one or two new ppl are not going to makeup the difference…lol

20k new people would. Or 50k. Especially since EVE isn’t the insta-death hardcore newbro roasting game that explains basically nothing any more. It has a way better new player experience and guidance system and a much more developed player-driven newbro-training structure.

EVE would be a much better place without those 4 ppl.

where are you gonna find 20-50k new players who wanna stay and pay for a 20+ year old game that literally gets called space spreadsheets :stuck_out_tongue:

And fyi highest confirmed I have heard/seen is over 2000 accounts for one person

CCP can easily find those players, if they can increase player retention. Many more than 20-50k new players are testing EVE every year. But the rate of those who actually stay is incredibly small. And massmultiboxing is part of that problem. Even doubling the player retention rate by increasing the quality and reputation of the product would entirely offset profits from all the massmultiboxers.

The players are there. EVE can’t hold them. Omnipresent Massmultiboxing is just one nail in that coffin.

People keep saying “change this and people will stay”… Well fact is; the boxers are the ones who stayed.

Its also not covid anymore. We wouldn’t be able to constantly run 40+ real person fleets for say high sec incursions.

sounds like you suck in motivating people for your content. Any competent group could. The main reason you multibox that stuff is that you are incredibly greedy and have no intention to share the profits among 40 people. And because massmultiboxing is so incredible efficient in this game, no real 40 ppl fleet even tries to compete. Rest assured, those Incursions would be done, even if massmultiboxing wouldn’t be allowed or at least a lot less efficient than now.

Trust me; incursions retain alot of players

Tell me you don’t understand why ppl leave? → cause they see no way into profit; in a time effective manner.

also 100% false. a real person fleet should outperform a large boxing group. and they know that.

Tla often only requires people running 2 boxes and had a waitlist. and we often contest for the best sites.

See, thats the problem with people like you. You believe that “profits” are the driving factor for having a good gaming experience in EVE. But it really isn’t. Player interaction and long-term relation-building is. And the more you weave the game design around “making profit efficiently” for massmultiboxers, the more it will suck ass. And thus never be able to recover the player numbers it once had, or even surpass it.

Nobody talks about having a second account for suppport. As scout, scanner, tackler or maybe additional DPS. The problem begins when single players field whole fleets that are able to run group-content all by themself. That is what the majority of player (and lots of potential new players) despise.

■■■■ i literally cant afford a ship to undock in and I don’t wanna die again.
Where to even begin with finding a person not trying to scam me; im new.. oh; your new…scammed…

The last person actively running over 40 accounts in high sec incursions got banned for rmt…lol
It was done years ago legit…there are videos…
Go make 40 of your own and do it? its even highsec…
There are plenty of people who bring 20+…
it more effective to run the lower sites as a boxer.

If you are bad at the game, massmultiboxing won’t help you. Every newb is spammed with free ships even in the Tutorial aka Career Missions. He gets enough free SP and money from the AIR Program to afford multiple new Frigates and Destroyers and is totally fit to make his own money afterwards. The key is sticking to affordable ships and learn how the game works, not hunting for “better, faster, more” in record time. If you do that, you’ll only land on the killboard with stupidly expensive NPC losses. (oh wait, where did I see that? )

Like 99% of all players I have met in the game over the last 20 years have not trying to scam me, they have been incredibly helpful. And I give that back by being incredibly helpful towards newbros. Hell, there are entire corporations with the main goal to train and educate newbros and trying to excite them for community gameplay.

See, thats why CCP needs to change all mechanics design so the single account player who knows what he is doing and is making quick (and correct) decisions combined with high average click speeds can solve them, while a massmultiboxer just selecting one target after the other and switching over his legion of DPS- (or mining-) alts over won’t come that far.

Your idea of playing EVE for pixel money is as stupid as playing Monopoly™ all by yourself all day long just to have the most money. If you are constantly interested in the game and become part of a nice group, you will barely ever need more than 2 or 3 accounts running and can still make trillions of ISK. Yes, trillions. I have done it, and 99% of my playtime over the last ~20 years I had just 2 accounts. 1 paid, 1 plexed. Perfectly viable to reach absolute endgame levels of wealth and participation in any content one desires.

I dunno about you…but the point of when i play is to get the most WHILE PLAYING WITH OTHERS? lol

all mine have been replaced by ccp  back when servers where constantly being ddos’d.

your kb looks like you benefit from others boxing? lol

Yeah, thats called a “tryhard” at best, a “parasite” at worst. Both are the types of players usually nobody likes. And the reason I have never allowed massmultiboxers to even join any of the corporations where I had something to decide. People multiboxing more than ~5 accounts in active gameplay can go elsewhere, I don’t want them. They are poisoning the environment of any group with their greed.

You couldn’t tell, as you seem to know pretty much nothing about PvP  …
I mean, the average number of people on my killmails is… 6. Pretty hard to squeeze many massmultiboxers in there. While the average number on your killmails is… oh wait, you don’t have a single kill. Probably a theoretical expert then.

Or, do we have another case of “I am an absolutely tough guy hiding behind a forum troll alt that has a history like ■■■■”? How come that its always the 0-13 anonymeous guys pretending to be spoon-fed with wisdom about the game? Crazy coincidence

its literally in the name of the game? ???

why put a number on how many?

yes I know how to have proper alts…lol

want my stream links? there is a reason i use this character publicly.

when you get a reasonable answer you attack right? lol and it took me what a minute to rip it apart?

 now we have the usual paranoia card? Sweet. “Uh oh, revealing who I am would have serious consequences!” It becomes more pathetic by the minute. I mean, you bascially follow the “guide how to make yourself look like a fool in public” page by page. Grats!

At this moment I wouldn’t reveal my secret streamer identity as well, you’d probably lose followers just from this conversation… :frowning:

Sry, you are pretty delusional. You didn’t “rip apart” anything. And I don’t “attack”, I am just stating the obvious. It was your decision to post with an anonymeous forum alt and it was your decision to tell the usual stories of “yeah my losses are because server issues / ddos attacks!” (I am so elite, of course I wouldn’t ever lose a ship otherwise) and “I can’t tell who I am because of serious consequences!” because [insert: “I am an important person” “famous streamer” “my alliance would kick me out!” “people would hunt me down in game!” or whatever you like here]. All heard a dozen times before, same ■■■■■■■■ any time.

I came here, stating my opinion, based on my gameplay experience of almost 20 years. Nothing to hide, nothing to twist. And for also many years I have participated here at the boards, 99% helfpul and open towards others. This game is one of the absolute best concepts for an online game ever created. And massmultiboxing visible at every corner today is simply a cancer nagging at it’s bones. It’s not EVE’s only problem, but an important part of the reasons why it is at it’s current state. It drives players away from the game and will cost CCP/FC a lot more in the long run than they will ever make from massmultiboxers. 30k online players who are at most 10-15k real persons at prime time is a shame. And every more alt multiboxed is another nail in that coffin, because at some point you can only keep the 0.1% tryhards and parasites to play your game that are willing to massmultibox and no one else cares to even begin playing in such a disgusting alt-environment.

Disagree? Fine. No problem with that. But don’t believe for a second you convince me otherwise, because I have experienced both types of EVE. I remember. And I absolutely know which EVE was the better game, by a huge margin. Hint: It isn’t the one where you can see massmultibox fleets at literally every corner.

took your ai that long for just this? lol

and my links are tied to this account..hence why I use it… I am not trying to hide…lol

Playing niveau limbo now? Hint: There are tools to check if a text is written by AI. Go figure.

I believe I don’t have any reason to keep up that conversation any more. Have a nice day and consider yourself ignored.

still iso proof? lol i showed you mine…lol

So you do box..?

For everybody which is pointing on the money stuff.
You made your point, don´t need to repeat it.

Also if the game would consist only of multiboxers it would be dead.

There is no retriemend fund in this game… and if there would be you do RMT and get banned.

And there is no need to spam your own posts to keep them active and near the top…
