HS FUBAR! ccplease!

I think it will create more content personally.

A ganker makes a lot of ISK from ganking and the indy is on top of that, while those that gank for defensive reasons lose money on it. It is fairly simple. Many gankers and ganker aligned players don’t understand this issue, or seem to not want to understand this issue. Part of it is of course attitude to the game, but for many people on the indy side losing a character to ganking is not possible in terms of their setup.

Personally I think you are too safe if salvaging.

Not relevant and it does depend on the ship.

Not sure I understand that at all, are you talking about m3. In terms of value the salvage in invasions is of much greater value.

Yes in m3. Id take the ninjing hit, and give up protected status for that in return

I must admit I have not thought about the impact here, I guess you are asking for this so that you will have a chance to sneak in and nab stuff while they are dropping their load off. Each unit of Trig salvage seems to be 1m3 and the normal salvage is 0.01m3. So I think you are covered there.

Well, we shall see if this goes anywhere. Im still always open to new data.

One more question though:

Do you like Mumford & Sons?

Beautiful post @Tascavengur_Audeles.

I hope CCP listen.

Never heard of this group until you mentioned it here, so I just went and listened to one of their songs. I will wait, yeah pretty good. I have a very wide taste in music, though I do not like rap at all, though I love soul, jazz and Jazz funk. I went to a Motorhead concert in my youth, had blood coming out of my ears from that…

Recently I have been enjoying Hans Zimmer concert video’s on youtube, I especially like the theme for the Da Vinci Code.

Yes I like Zimmer too though Ive really been digging Henry Jackman recently.

Though James Horner will always be my first <3

You seem to forget EVEs only real rule…

If you can get away with it, it’s yours.

I had heard Henry Jackman mentioned a few times by people in comments on Zimmer videos, will go check him out, thanks, and will add James Horner to my list too. I rather liked Howard Shore the guy who did the Lord of the Rings movies, some of the Elven pieces just slay me.

When it comes to cinematic themes, I’m partial to the work of John Williams and Ennio Morricone

OPs rant

Solution can be found by playing in null-sec. Stealing wreck in HS is part of the HS play model. I don’t think you should be trying to remove a perfectly viable game mechanic. You are an enabler for the wreck thieves, if anything, you should be mad at yourself for encouraging behavior that you find inappropriate.

“Stealing wreck in HS is part of the HS play model.” Where if you shoot the thief you get concord on you… If you place bounty they cheque it in themself with alts…
New guy joins with plenty of skill point actions, gets a praxis, runs some triglavs, his salvage gets ripped from under his nose => dead end street, bye stupid game

You dont know how bounties work, sorry.

He should count himself lucky they dont gank those like they should.

Why is a Praxis a better choice for someone with limited isk than a proper battleship?

EDIT: you know what, why are you wasting isk doing the invasion as a fighter, when you could be Salvaging for a fraction of the outlay?

  2. Praxis, cause they didn’t buy for billions injetors to fly a “proper” battleship.
  3. answer on the edit. Cause i’m not a parasite

The whole underlying issue shows in this post. Very awkward and annoyance rule (salvage doesn’t belong to you and “stealing” isn’t stealing and you can’t shoot people for taking the loot that you created) has been in place since long time. They do all sorts of actions to get new players, like the praxis, like the triglavian invasion “expansion”. And some RNG number of skillpoints.
Result: the game doesn’t get better and they have to throw everything for free at possible new players. Until they figure out certain mechanics and they are gone again

Why not? Its a lot more fun and much easier. Plus if someone dares shoot you, you just replace your ship!

huh sounds like someone is parasiting off the market by avoiding buying my injectors. Tsk tsk.

Or, you know, train your skills properly like we all USED to have to before folk like you came along.

And yet here you are complaining about it. You know about it, and yet you do nothing.

You are the parasite, wanting things for free.

Not me.

We’ve established that you know where to find out how bounties work, but you still don’t actually know how they work.

I’ll give you the paint-by-numbers version:

The bounty payout is, at most, a fraction of the value of what was destroyed. Alt-claiming is not a thing, because it is going to be at a net loss.

They’re still totally worthless, of course, but alt-claiming hasn’t been a thing for many years now, so why you think it would happen that way is a mystery.

Very awkward and annoyance rule (salvage doesn’t belong to you and “stealing” isn’t stealing and you can’t shoot people for taking the loot that you created) has been in place since long time.

No, see, stealing is stealing, it’s salvaging that isn’t stealing. Salvaging is salvaging.

I hope this has cleared things up.

Funny they didnt care until salvage was suddenly much more valuable again.

So its not the principle of it, just its effect on them.

Im thinking of asking for asteroids to be protected in the same way as loot. Once Ive tagged it, you go suspect if you try to mine from it.
