You assume to know who I am based on god knows what so that statements like “Or, you know, train your skills properly like we all USED to have to before folk like you came along.” seem to validate all your other points.
“Jita 4-4 is mine, I was trading there first , dammit.” … what can you say to people that reason like this; nothing.
You put in effort, ISK, SOMETHING, to make that wreck appear there in the first place and from what it now seems following the reasoning of these people that are so hard headed they can’t accept an OPINION with valid reasoning, newbie people should be lured to buy injectors not fly the praxis used to lure alpha’s and new players. They should also go do triglavian “new content”, preferably in an injector high level battleship, place extravagant bounties that no sane person can pay or shoot at the salvager that reapes the reward from their effort, money and time. If however they would assume that this is NOT thievery protected by a stupid rule, they would shoot a salvo at a scumbag salvager and loose their ship.
After my trying to be involved and “enjoy” the new content and posting feedback here, i’ll just go back hole up in WH space and shoot any ninja salvager in the face without stupid “security” protecting him for doing so , and keep away from these useless forum strolls.
Training a proper battleship isnt hard. The fact an Alpha can do it kinda proves that.
I dont want to speak for another, but I think that was a joke. Humour is our most powerful weapon, it seems.
No you dont. You target it and press f1. Exactly the same as what a Salvager does.
As for your Injector ramblings, like I said, Salvaging is a far better Isk earner for a new player than burning all his Isk on a BS to get it trashed in a conduit.
Seriously, its very cheap and replacable.
You also think its easy, and it also has a very low skill requirement (though Trig wrecks seem a lot tougher and T2 Salvagers are recommended.).
You do know the best salvage frigs are either T1 or go for a Sunesis?
Obviously since CCP is changing a lot of stuff in-game, the game mechanics concerning wrecks needs to be changed as well.
Like I said earlier in this thread:
If wrecks don’t belong to anyone then why is it you can’t tractor wrecks made by other players? Also when you think about it, having the ability to abandon wrecks and turn them blue essentially implies ownership of the wrecks. Sure it allows them to be tractored by anyone but that act alone definitely implies ownership.
Yeah, I know it was actually meant to give up ownership of any loot contained within those wrecks. However when that game mechanic was first implemented there was a lot more wrecks containing loot back then compared to now. That loot was worth a lot more than the salvage from the wrecks. Since the amount of wrecks containing loot has been nerfed down to nill, in most cases the salvage is now worth more than the loot drops.
This would be very helpful to new players who rely on salvaging for income, +1.
It’s really disappointing to see so many people trying to stomp out a new-player friendly occupation like ninja-salvaging. This is why Eve doesn’t grow.
That statement was to show wreck ownership, meaning that the wreck actually belongs to the player that destroyed it, regardless if the wreck does or doesn’t contain loot. Also that player has the ability to abandon the wreck and turn it blue which definitely signifies ownership.
Don’t know what game you’ve been playing but ever since ex-CCP Soundwave & Co started their war on Gun Mining in 2012, loot drops have been consistently nerfed over the years, almost to the point of extinction.
the only change to loot in relation to “gun mining” as you put it was that drone alloys were removed as these converted directly in to minerals at a fraction of the M3 compared to mining (the worst hit areas were Drone space and mission runners that always looted and salvaged. bounties were added to Rouge drones for this reason. although the minerals still exist in game, they now only drop in specific cans in DED sites and on overseer/faction Rouge drones
As of 2008 there have been 12 patches that deal directly with changing or updating NPC/PVE loot tables
