By āhard workā Iāve been referring to physical work. Iām not saying thinking canāt be hard work, though. I was simply referring to the fact that most people tend to work more (harder) instead of working less, but with better income (smarter).
That list misses emotional intelligence. I donāt know the proper term. Itās pretty much as lacking in the general population as logical intelligence and common sense.
I have seen some images with veldspar being gambled with minimal amount of tickets and small amount of ISK for each one. Is that some sort of the way losers expressing revenge on the system, spamming it, or spam is put there by people who post things in jita local so they have less competition? Or just people doing gambling for things other than items in game? Like for example who gets to win the trip to wormhole with fleet today?
Iāve been in rooms where people deliberately put up stuff for tiny amounts of ISK. One guy Iāve been talking to said he made so much money, he just wants to have fun. Heās shown us a screenshot of his wallet and thereās simply no way to scam people. Iāve made around 200 million ISK just by gambling for less than 100 isk per ticket. My first win, an Iteron V, paid for over ten thousands more attempts. Maybe thatās what youāve seen?
There really is no hard numbers to back this up. It will always vary from person to person, from situation to situation.
The gift of youth and beauty is one example. Born with great physical genetics, spotted by a modeling agent and bam! success with no real talent or hard work. Sure later as you age it becomes harder work to maintain that kind of career, or take the money and run. Invest, get fat, make stupid comments on social media.
Trust fund babies. Even with higher education and good investments that is no proof they are smart or talented. Just following daddy or mommies methods.
Thatās just 2 of the easier examples but more then enough to show that nothing is ever as simple as 5% talent the rest hard work.
Thinking without working is also not a good idea.
" Over thinking, over analyzing separates the body from the mind. Withering my intuition leaving opportunities behind. "
Itās a risk the seller takes everytime he puts an offer online. It costs 10% out of his potential revenue if he sells and minimum 5% if he doesnāt.
The game prioritieses the offers that are almost full. Iv put over 150 offers so far. The offers that sold were the ones which i bought 60% of the nodes ny self. I had put multiple offers of Vangurs at 3.17 Billions total worth and theyāve all sold with in a day or 2.
I had put a few Vangurs at 1.6 Billions which i did not purchase any nodes and none sold.
The scam here is that Hypernet costs 5% of your total revenue and thereās no way to lower that amount.
So when i put a Tatara for sale at 16 billions, I take the risk of losing 800 millions for nothing.
The real scam here is that Hypernet sucks the way it is right now and it wont last long unless they make some big changes to it.
the problem with peopleās mindsets I think adding an optional limit button so one person canāt buy too many tickets so less people think they have no chance
the point of this option is to make it easier on simpletons
Gambling sites (at least reputed ones) give you the option to limit your bet amount in case you are a compulsive player. In some you can even contact customer support and ask them to lock you out of your own account for months in case you have a problem with gambling.
I keep telling people this but they keep insisting that buying in on your own raffles is a scam lol. The math doesnāt lie. And for those that severely mark up and buy half their own tickets, they would be more profitable buying half of other peopleās cheaper deals to try and win their item back than to bid on their own overpriced item. They are only scamming themselves lol.
People are stupid and donāt understand math. Thereās no reason to look for a more complicated explanation here. Itās the same reason people think they have a clever strategy (āthe die rolled a 4 last time, it canāt possibly roll two 4s in a row!ā) for beating the house in casino games and predictably go lose a bunch of money, over and over again.
I want to know because things like those profits in calculations are true only conditionally. If someone forgets about few conditions, it all sounds plausible, until these conditions come into play. Thats why ISK/h ratio would be more realistic I think.
And its not about scamming I am talking at that point, just playing the system to gain more from it in shorter time. Exploiting it.
Maybe that is expecting too much from people who doesnt make lots of hypernet offers. As of now I only seen one trustworthy person explaining how that works. Backed by experience.
You can tell the contents of a personās character in the way they behave when they are engaged in vanities like eve online. The stuff they shut down to replace with this crap was more fair than CCP.
