As someone who would stock my alliances station and contracts, words cannot describe the dopamine hit I would get when I saw contracts being grabbed, or modules being bought in realtime via Eve portals push notifications.
Sometimes I would know a big fight was happening and what comp was used purely by what people were buying. It caused me to log in and join many times.
In summary, CCPls bring eve portal back. It drove engagement, at least for me.
