The stupid way. We’ve successfully defended it a few times as it is, and now it went tits over arse in a freighter because a drunken lout didn’t remember to hit the right buttons at the right time.

And the Nyx. And two more carriers. Two faxes. One of the Dreads (the other got stuck in asset safety when NancyDotte lost a Fortizar in Gehi without any of us getting told). Three battleships. Two Command Ships. Several Scimitars. Somewhere around two dozen assorted small support (Command Destroyers, Dictors, Ceptors, that sort of thing). A Panther. If memory serves there’s also other support like HICs etc in there, and sod only knows how much in modules/assets/fighters etc.

Of course, that’ll all be returned at some point so that’s mostly just annoying. The ISK loss comes from two SC Clones at 3-4b a piece, and the infuriating bit is that so many of us called it beforehand but let ourselves be convinced that it wasn’t a problem.

The whole Asset Safety thing needs to be a thing of the past though. It leads to this sort of complacency and dulls the edge of the capsuleers involved.

I’m sure that’d hit harder if it didn’t come from someone cowering in their holes, sticking their noses out briefly for a gank and then running back home again. Your validation really hardly matters, nor does one drunken lout cocking something up particularly bother me in an organization this size.

You’re certainly right that we are far from glamorous, but every client we’ve had have been more than happy with our services and that certainly does matter quite a bit more to me than random insults with no substance to them.

It’s honestly kind of fun how much people keep talking about us.
