I thought this kind of hegemony was illegal

As much as they have against miners who don’t join them , so all is good yes

In the coming days Hek could be fun ,hope there’s a good supply of cat’s and Thrashers

However, at face value, they don’t have anything against miners who don’t join them. They are offering free mining boost and buyback program, not requesting people to join their corps or forcing people to take those offers. Yes, they mention some “regulations” but no where “join us” is mentioned as mandatory.

Was the start of this join us in our great offer or die.

On a side note do you know cargo bandit and if you do ,your take on him

Remember that i live in 0.0.
Here we kill first then may consider to make our great offer to join us.

Anyways, I said “at face value”. I’m well aware that it can just be a bunch of propaganda. But, you don’t really know, do you?

Answering your question, is safe to assume i don’t know people that started to play n the last couple of years.
In fact, I barely know myself and it took a fair amount of professional help.

Greetings from the Hek Mining Association, your friendly neighborhood cartel. As the founder and President of the HMA, I am both flattered and honored by both the attention and the outpouring of support. So far, we’ve relied solely on a targeted direct marketing campaign for our growth as we refine our processes. However, I do appreciate this opportunity to address any questions and concerns that may have arisen from our operations.

Before we dig into that, I would like to clear up some misunderstandings that have already popped up in this thread.

First, we limit our regulatory enforcement solely to the Asteroid Belts. It seems like the OP may be getting us confused with one of the many other gankers operating within the system. I can’t say that this won’t be a part of our operations moving forward but as of right now we do not attempt to disrupt or control trade in Hek.

Second, me make no claim of ownership over the ore in Hek. Rather, we claim regulatory authority over the act of mining itself. As long as you mine in a manner consistent with our regulations, you are free to do whatever you wish with the ore you collect. That being said we do offering a generous (and completely optional) buyback program.

Thanks again, and remember “If you want to mine, you can go to Hek.”

Well…I know when I’m tackled with no way to escape. GF sir.

The only things illegal in EvE are IIRC, real money trading (RMT) and impersonation, particularly of a CCP employee. Other than that, if the game engine allows it, go for it Hoss. If you decide to do something CCP have declared an exploit you may get banned, but you can still do it.

Otherwise, suck it up.

The way we like to think of it… the HMA is coming to the miners of Hek with an offer.

In one hand, we have a delicious piece of cake. You don’t even need to eat the cake, if you don’t want to. You just need to take it.

The other hand is a fist, ready to punch you in the face.

If you can’t decide which is a better option, you deserve the punch in the face.

So let me understand, there are people that intentionally block trade lane killing big stuff like freighetrs and alike in hi sec, may they be empty or not (try to look Odin’s system killmail) and someone complain about another corporation that suicide kill miners in hi sec?

This is “normal” into a 0.5 “tradehub” (i think that hek is more a corner nightshop for pirates and alike), i cannot see nothing illegal and even if THAT is illegal than the banhammer would fall on other people before for sure because lately someone is going to heavly exploit those blaster destro for kill freighters and transport ships, even if empty, maybe for pimp the price of those stuffes?

And we are talking about HMA and hek miners HAHA…

I cant avoid to say that… i smell goon poo around… this is the style…

P.S.: Odin is a 0,6 and still a lot of ■■■■ happen there, give a look Odin | System | zKillboard

We “defend” such an action because its part of EVE. If you dont like it, well, thats fine too. Not every game has to cater to every single player. But its part of the game.

If you dont like to shoot people and you hate guns and are agains the NRA, and you play Call of duty, youre going to say “Wow, you shoot other people? Thats so barbaric and wrong. And people actually allow this game to continue? Its so hard to believe you all would play and defend this game.” And youre going to look ridiculous.

They can’t gank you if you join their public fleet.
It is a defense mechanism against gankers.
If you won’t join the local herd or accept their invitation, then you are a wolf looking to pluck a plump little lamb.
That’s when the sheep dogs show up and bear some teeth and often find covert scanning gear in the wreckage. Paranoia reenforced.
The buy back program at 90% Jita price is darned convenient and profitable. Not to mention the lively fleet chat.
If you don’t want to suffer that type of oppression then the stargate is right over there. No charge to jump through it and you’ll always be welcome back to join the fleet.

I am confused as to why you are saying this like it is a bad thing. The ability to create content is integral to the Eve experience. It is very much what makes Eve Eve. You are 100% correct in your assessment though. Currently, I work remotely so although I can play all day I can’t do so with the focused dedication necessary for other forms of gameplay. So, I created my own to meet my needs. The end result of that is a public mining/ganking fleet. Instead of going out in search of content, I allow content to come to me.

We’ve been doing it for about six months with varying degrees of success.

This guy gets it. The HMA deliberately keeps its scope small and focused so that only people who want to get involved need to. Join us, fight us, hide from us, or just go to any of the numerous other systems.

CODE has the same feeling. We deliberately keep it small and within Hisec so that only people who want to get involved need to. Otherwise, people are free to go to lowsec or nullsec and do whatever they want, there.

AKA we’re scared AF of players that shoot back.

So, what exactly this regulatory enforcement entails? What you request/forbid?
