@Overmind_Niminen I sent you an evemail about something fun coming up soon you’re invited to participate in.
Yeah, we get it, Lucas. You don’t like fundamental pillars of EVE Online, like the ability of a bunch of new characters to take down an older character in a big ship. Thanks.
I would like to draw further attention to this man’s posting history, and the deep, deep butthurt contained therein.
I think Lucas has well and truly put you lot to the sword with his reasoned arguments.
One can tell by the genkers resorting to the standard ganker strategy of salty insults.
I’ve looked at this. The simplest way is training into ECM ships. Another way would be tracking disruptors with optimal range scripts, cutting catalysts optimal range short enough to influence dps. That’s not particularly hard considering their already short on optimal range anyway and pretty much always need to approach the target. Then there’s of course stealing of loot, which denies them their income. To me it looks like people can be effective on their first day after skilling a bit. Why are you people having this conversation?
So Gankers always use Catalysts without any sebo’s with ECM scripts?
This is one of the reasons why the change to bumping is so important in terms of the three minute timer, think about the tactical and strategic implications. It means that they can’t change to counter what AG sets up with. Previously we had to show our hand so they just added more DPS or fitted something like a sebo to counter or changed ships, now that is not so easy.
This is why they ran away crying like the losers they are.
Before what you said here:
Could be easily countered by their total control of the battlefield in terms of when and where, so they could select the perfect counter, but now…, they can’t. So prior to this change your suggestion was easily countered but now, it is not, they have to go with what they have or risk the freighter getting away. And this is why I came back to AG and went all in, because what we did could not be countered as easily. At last we have more of a level playing field.
Of course you will ignore this or try to talk around it.
But the question has to be why were Gankers given such perfect control for so long?
Why are they losers? They don’t make threads complaining about antiganking. They don’t complain about being unable to kill ships out of sheer ignorance. They aren’t the ones continuously seeking conversation with antigankers.
Why are they the losers? Why aren’t the losers those who never stop complaining? Why aren’t the losers those who never try doing what they’re being told would work? Why aren’t the losers those who continuously make new threads?
Why? Can you answer that?
On TIS Globby was complaining about people stealing ‘his’ loot. That was complaining.
They complained about wreck EHP when we started to gank them with cheap ships just like them using cheap catalysts.
They complain about the tank of freighters, Orca’s and bowheads.
Like the fact that in my mail box I have numerous sneering mails from gankers?
Because once it became a more level playing field they ran away like brave sir robin…
With the change to bumping I am perfectly happy, they are saying that this killed freighter ganking any opportunity that they can in the hope that CCP give them back their easy kill mechanic because now they have to actually fight for it and don’t have all the advantages. The balance now is fine, they are the ones complaining and giving up, period…
I just explained that above, when you can control the time you can counter any move that AG makes and they did. Now it is not so easy, of course they ran away screaming and crying.
Gankers and their alts pretending to be AG make more threads and this thread was made by an ex-Ganker.
Your narrative sucks…
I have no ball in this game. To me it would make most sense if both sides simply agreed to a tournament and battled it out every once in a while, one way or another. Content for both sides.
It’s projection. You’re replying to a guy who literally got beaten down for years, then tries to claim some big victory on code when nobody plays anymore. He’s just a complete idiot
It’s still disgusting that you lot worship that ex ag mod and celebrate him
Pieces of garbage
The problem is where you’re starting from. There isn’t two sides. There’s 1 side sitting there getting big kills while a bunch of idiots sit there watching them while flailing their arms being jelly at our HUGE stuffed wallets
You know exactly who im talking about.
How? I log in, gank ships and sometimes idiots showed up and watched me. How are they a side? lmao
I quit ages ago, as did most of the gankers. Keep reaching tho kid
Delicious padding, ■■■■ im good.
Spending thousands of hours following me around and watching me gank is impressive? Yikes you guys are bigger losers than I thought
You prolly don’t even have 100bil to you’re name
That is a pretty good question. I’m done here. The level of dishonesty people like Lukas and Drac display in such conversation is so over the top it just devolves into a ■■■■ show.
Good luck.
It’s like saying going to the world cup and some drunk guy running on the field trying to play is a side
Just a jealous little boy, looking at an alpha chad with a huge wallet
Pretty much. Doesn’t matter if you’re right in their eyes. They can’t admit they’re wrong, just make ■■■■ up or ignore what you wrote
There isn’t some strange coincidence all agers are really stupid, you really have to wonder how smooth your brain is when you’ve sat more than a thousand hours following people around and being nothing but a laughing stock
I don’t think they’re being dishonest. There are some fundamental differences in terms of viewpoints, understanding and there’s quite the projection happening on both sides. People appear to be not actually talking about the same things, or rather, the same perspective on things. In any case do I now have a bit more understanding about the reason why there aren’t really any good anti-ganking communities and, honestly, there does not seem to be any actual point behind one anyway.
No, what I’m saying and you don’t seem to understand, is that agers are so irreverent and bad at the game that it’s pretty pathetic to call them a side as if to say a cockroach apposing a 200 pound human is any sort of equivalent
You seem a tad jealous of my nonstop success as a peak pvper in eve
qqmoar
Well I disagree. Even the basis for them talking about the topic is dishonest. Do you really think this is about “balance”?
Watching Karak and Loyalanon (aka Australian Excellence) being put to the sword by Lucas Kell is most refreshing.
Who said they can’t exist? Like how dumb are you?
Easy you mean. Literally one of the last times I was in Uedama, miniluv tried to take a freighter off me and Globby before it hit reached us. We saw it and made their 30+ character fleet failgank with 1 machariel, then went and ganked it ourselves.
It’s a joke how easy it is to ag
Brave sir robin runs away again, and again and again…
Oh, I’m aware that this isn’t about balance. I’ve tried getting this across in some other post, to Dracvlad, but failed. They’re replacing “balance” with their own definition of “balance”. They’re only looking at the details that seem to affect them and not the whole. They’re doing so even at the cost of the whole.
Of course it is impossible to tell them, because they’re not even trying asking questions. Though, to be fair, it seems that neither side is willing to actually learn anything. Neither. This situation is “stuck” only because those who keep making threads about it keep baiting those who keep replying to them. If you can’t get rid of “losers” constantly whoring for attention then I’d suggest simply stopping giving them attention. This, here, though, is absolutely unworthy of the attention of anyone sane.
Just to be clear here: Everyone, please enjoy writing another 1000 useless and absolutely irrelevant posts. This post is a mess. Just like this thread.
While it is amusing that this thread straight out of 2014 has sparked up, I’m going to have to side with AE’s main point here: the gankers are gone. CODE’s killboard is back at 2013 levels now, while CONCORD is destroying the lowest number of ships per month since reliable records became available 9 years ago. Highsec crime, or maybe just highsec in general, is on life support.
We can all bicker of whose game is harder or easier, or how hard it is to stop a gank, but there are so many situations that everyone is both simultaneously right and wrong arguing from a different set of facts. At least it was a game though.
For whatever combination of reasons, the golden era of highsec content is over. All other forms of non-consensual highsec PvP have been systematically nerfed into the ground leaving suicide ganking as the only remaining one (ok, possibly structure bashes). Even suicide ganking has been repeatedly “balanced” to the point as the statistics shows, it isn’t happening very much anymore.
Well I do think the constant nerfs have taken their toll, I think the primary factor impacting ganking numbers is just the decline in highsec activity. Less targets, less ganking. It’s really too bad that a decade of buffs to highsec safety didn’t have their intended effect of getting new players to stay, but instead apparently just bored most players out of highsec, or teven the game. I find it amusing, in a sad way, that CCP seemed to have recognized that more highsec safety didn’t increase retention or activity years ago, but for whatever failures in their development process, not only couldn’t correct course, but went back to the same simplistic well of “players are leaving 'cause the game is too hard… I know, more nerfs to content creators will help that!” again and again without success. Just deleting gameplay from your MMO doesn’t increase activity - you need to reimplement mechanics or add things to increase activity and player numbers. We saw it just last year with the war dec nerfs which have done nothing to increase player retention or activity in highsec.
Well here we are. Highsec is lifeless and the apex predators are gone. CODE will never die at this point and there will be some predatory activity until the end, but we won’t see a new generation of arch-criminals (or return of the old) until CCP can fix the larger problems with the game and get people playing in highsec again. Until then, engaging in the time-honoured Eve-O forum practice of yelling that the other guy’s game is too easy or whining that yours is too hard should probably wait.
