Depends on the thread. This reminds me of the old forums, which I miss dearly. If it gets out of hand, i can close it, but I prefer to avoid doing that since it seems so stifling.

At times I have gone into detail and explained the issue, however all you tend to get in the Eve forums is people taking a sentence out of context and raging at you for it as if you think that. When I have people do that I now just reply initially with the statement you are doing a Cathy Newman and then pointing out that they said that, not me, and that they are arguing with themselves. It makes the forums a bit sad, but it is what it is.
Cathy Newman is in my opinion an obnoxious C4 interviewer in the UK, she interviewed Jordan Peterson and in it she took what he said and twisted it to say something else and he kept on telling her that it was not what he said and there were numerous occaisions where she sat there in silence mulling over her own issues. It was perhaps the most brilliant deconstruction of aggressive stupidity I have ever seen, and if I feel like a pick me up, I watch it. One of the most impressive bits was when he pointed out that she as an interviewer had offended him but it was her job when she went off on the fact he had offended people. It is this phrase, “What you are saying is…” and then saying something completely wrong.
C&P has always been a bit more robust, and has always had a lighter touch from mods by the way.
You assumed wrong, in hisec shooting a MTU makes you go suspect. It is called suspect baiting and mission fits do not fit points. People may set up for baiters, but it is fairly rare. But thanks for the explanation, I would advise you against taking snippets of peoples sentences and commenting on it like that if you do not want to be seen as a troll.
