… the tires rotated. I also asked them to flip the tires such that the outside edge was on the inside and vice verse, which they did. After getting the car back and started driving it soon I noticed that a sound consistent with tire rotation was coming from the front right tire, but it wasn’t happening all the time, and it was hard to hear, also a clear clanking coming from the right fornt tire was coming when the car was moving at a very low speed like when it was in a parking lot. I went back to the dealer and told them about it, we drove the car but couldn’t hear anything, they said I have to pay them $180/h so a technician can take a better look. So I went to another Subaru dealer in town, told them about the issue and agreed to pay the money. It turned out, whoever was flipping the tires at the first dealership didn’t notice that his equipment broke and a piece of it was left in the tire. So that was causing the issue, they asked me who did the flipping and when I told them, they called the first dealer and they agreed to pay the hourly fee, so I got my tire fixed and didn’t pay for anything. And that is how customer service should work - when they mess something up, they cover the expenses.
Now what all this has anything to do with EVE online, you may ask?
I just lost a t3 ship in a lvl2 “The Blockade”…
because your launcher decided to install updates right in the middle of it - this is what I could see when I tabbed out - locked the game, windows kept popping this weird messages that it crashed and didn’t let go until I lost the ship.
Now, why was I doing lvl 2 in a proteus? because im trying to level my rep with caldari and the highest agents available for this corp are level 2, also its fast and safer plus it was few jumps away from the minmatar lvl 4 agents I was working with earlier.
This ■■■■ happened once before in a lvl4 mission but luckily then I wasn’t orbiting my MTU so the ship flew away so by the time it was over I was quite some distance away. Not this time!
Since it was your fault not mine I want my ship fully restored with all the mods and items in the cargo, in the same station with the agent that gave me that mission, You have time until my Omega subscription paid with real money expires, if you do that I’ll continue playing your game on my omega account, if not then I’m done with it.
So you can either show a good customer service like the Subaru people did and repair what you damaged for free or you can choose the opposite way.
Nobody from CCP will even read this. And from my experience, approaching a business owner with “it was your fault, and if you don’t do xyz I won’t buy here any more!!!11111” the most likely answer would be “good bye sir!”.
A number of people report more frequent crashes than normal. A launcher update should not lead to a crash.
Last year I was having an issue where my computer would crash. I narrowed the issue down to the graphics card. It would happen more often when playing Microsoft Flight Simulator, but it also happened in EVE Online from time to time.
When investigating, I found out that my graphics card, an AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT, has a tiny over clocking switch near the power connector, and it comes enabled by default. This caused instability on certain workloads. I now experience crashes very seldom, perhaps every couple of hundred hours playing EVE Online.
lol… CCP isn’t going to reimburse your ship… Did you even submit a bug report to attempt to get it reimbursed? Probably not, you wanted to come here and whine that a launcher update caused you to crash…
why did you tab out? if you didn’t tab out that wouldn’t have caused an issue… Should have used a less expensive ship to run L2s… You’re working against yourself at this point.
also want to leave this here… Great group of people that can fix your standings for you, so you don’t have to do L2s.
As I said since I started playing the game back in October last year, this happened on few occasions, somehow I missed getting my ship blown up in the previous cases for one or another reason, but this time I knew I was dead as there were too many small ships and my ship was basically in one place. The locking happened as soon as the Angel Battlecruisers in one of the last waves warped in after one of smaller trigger ships from the previous wave was kill, got in range and started shooting at me.
That is exactly what I wanted to do, to bring this case to wider audience, so more people can start “whining” and hopefully something gets done, as I have filed BUG reports in the past and in all but one of the cases nothing was done! Players have no fault when this is all on CCP end, so the right way to do it is to fix what they broke themselves so they don’t end up relying on fewer and fewer people to multibox dozens or more accounts in order for CCP to pay their bills and salaries!
The proteus has a larger cargo capacity than the smaller ships, so I can use an MUT and still have room for all the loot, the larger drone bay also lets me use 5 salvage drones at the same time while I’m clearing the room, so it takes few minutes to finish the mission, pick and salvage the loot. why would I want to use a smaller ship?
smaller ship, better damage app in a LEVEL 2… bigger doesn’t mean better… thats why T2 cruise missiles can’t apply damage to a frigate compared to a battlecruiser or battleship…
and if you need to use an mtu to pick up loot and use a large ship to do it, there’s something wrong with this picture.
just hire USIA they’ll fix your standings so you can lose a proteus in a L4
Maybe in your crappy skill world but not in my world where bigger means better and much faster, I have done those missions with smaller ships so I know the difference, I kill the lvl2 ships so fast that it takes longer to target lock them than to kill them with 2 blasters as I have split them into 3 groups of 2 each and use each group on different ship and this with low damage ammo like lead or tungsten and I need the MTU to pick up the wrecks that are 12-14 kms out, while the salvage drones work on the wrecks that are already at the MTU. Its a quick and safe work, until the game locks up and spits my capsule out.
why would ignore the loot when it is right under my nose collected by the MTU and all I have to do is open it and move the loot over to the ship? What you don’t seem to know is that these missions often drop warp disruptors or whatever they are called that sell/salvage for 5m. They seem to drop more often in L2s than they drop in L4s for whatever reason, for example I looted 2 of them in the L2 Recon(1 of 3) last night so I made more than 15 mil of the loot alone.
Because time is money and that loot is basically worthless.
Well, worthless is subjective, what I mean is it’s worthless to anyone at a level where they can breeze through L2s in seconds. Players who find them challenging would obviously benefit from that loot.
The time taken to salvage/loot/anchor MTU, scoop MTU, haul the garbage etc all adds up.
You are penny wise and pound foolish.
edit: Also the warp disruptors for 5m and heavy stasis webs drop in nullsec belts, which is where I go when I’m specifically looking for those as this is the most efficient way to get that particular loot. When I’m doing L2s, I’m grinding standings, and anything else is a waste of time.
