it could be bad thing but no one knows.
there is alot that needs to be done with the game and hopefully something like this will happen eventually in the long run. also the game could get new young people interested.
Well Iâm playing this game since almost 12 years and I think the first step into this direction from Test accounts to alpha omega was a mistake in first place because people complain more and more about everything that isnât free , introduction of skill injectors was a mistake aswell going full f2p and rely on micro transactions will destroy the whole game

i sent an email saying that and asked them to consider it for an upcoming expansion hopefully sometime this year because free to play could be good for the entire community.

So basically your argument is , paying for a game isnât good because it isnât good and people donât like it?
But that the company has to pay employees,server, maintenance , development etc you donât care ?+ this Game was never f2p and ccp already gave you the opportunity to pay via ingame currency or play a limited version of the game for free not only for trial .If that still isnât enough , itâs prob. the wrong game for you and you should play a game like world of tanks , which basically gives your the same option , to either pay for a premium account(omega) or f2p account(alpha) , just you canât get the premium account with in game currency

Tired of too many people demanding everything that other people have without either paying or working for it.
EVE cost less than $10 per month with any long subscription; around $15 if you pay per month. If that causes you economic stress, you need to quit playing computer games and focus on your job. The enhanced alpha accounts have just been catering to a bunch of people too cheap,lazy, or whiney to get things done themselves; this, of course, excludes both new players wanting to try the game out and people âparkingâ their characters until they have either the time or money to return to Omega status. Both the latter realize that they are getting a large part of the game and updates for no monthly fee and accept the limitations.
The other Alphas appear to want it all and want it nowâŚwaiting to see them turn blue as they hold their breath.

I donât like paying taxes. But I do like schools, hospitals, emergency services, roads and rail, etc.
I think most people can appreciate wanting to pay less for things, such as a game subscription, but there are benefits to it also. Itâs a business, and a business case would need to be made to support most significant changes. Someone who crunches the numbers in detail would need to take the idea beyond a feel good sentiment.

Good for the whole community? Please elaborate. Young players arenât interest in Eve. Itâs not available on their phones, itâs too complicated, and there are no influencers on YouTube playing it.
Why would a corporation stop their revenue stream? CCP will not make Eve free to play. Not this year. Not next year.

I cannot see how alphas have improved the game. They didnât boost activity of the game nor ccpâs wallet as far as Iâve seen.
I cannot see any reason why we should go further down this path. If a little is bad. More must be worse.

Eve is free to play. Anyone with multiple accounts already knows this. Subbing omega is as simple as buying plex off the market. It isnât even a significant time investment to get the isk for the plex.
if you really think the game is that good, then donât you think its worth paying less than the price of a cup of coffee each day to support the developers?
