I don’t think I am talking about that, no. I am talking about maneuvering cloaked through a dynamic scene full of objects that decloak you if you come closer than 2000m. You will have to bring yourself either very close to the target or in a straight line ‘behind’ the target from the point where your tackler comes from, so he can warp to you at range and still lands right on spot on the target.
And all that while the target may move, rats might move around in the site and/or new spawns might appear at different distances and angles and then either approach or orbit your target, wrecks all around and even an MTU pulling wrecks around. Ignoring wrecks in your overview will make it almost certain you will get decloaked and that means, your target will warp out to a safespot in a handfull of seconds. Because they aren’t ‘buried deep’, they pay attention, use their scanners carefully and will react quickly to any fuckup.
It’s still the same thing to me as I had to counter all those variables as well. I have to close in on a moving target, (if their smart) avoid possible rats my target is tanking and any wrecks left in their wake along with the field itself.
Seriously, I don’t know what we are discussing here? I have problems to understand what you try to tell…
@Gerard_Amatin correctly said that showing wrecks on your overview does serve a purpose, because there are scenarios, especially in PvP, where you might want to avoid being decloaked by them. You questioned that statement by implying that the possibility would be pretty low… and then gave the example to “sneak up on someone in a roid field” (which is pretty static).
Now you say that you “counter all those varables” - which would include wrecks as well - which means you have to realize the usefulness of showing wrecks, else you could hardly avoid them while maneuvering. So why arguing @Gerard_Amatin 's statement in the first place?
Just add them to the overview that is already available. When I’m at the site, I can see the wrecks and avoid them. If you want them scannable, just seems like a trap.
We’re missing what we’re trying to explain to each other, I guess?
