Feels like this thread is overly hostile for no real reason.
What was amusing is that we have a Guristas Easter event on the way, so OP just seems out of touch.

A mission runner gank event would be fun, like Hulkageddon only mission runners.

Ah, sorry.
Well there’s been threads noting SiSi changes, including new SKINs for Guristas ships, and a new module that gives bonuses to both missiles and drones simultaneously. Seems the event will be called The Hunt or something similar (same name was used during the 2016 Gureaster event).
Perhaps “out-of-touch” was a bit harsh. If you’re getting your news only from these forums or CCP’s updates page you’re bound to miss a lot. Test server archaeologists are always digging up stuff that gets added before it’s officially announced.
The only problem i see with all of that is, Easter is on April 1st this year. Could be a fools joke, but perhaps not.

no the fools joke is if they turn all of empire null again.
For the OP, perhaps attempt to find an activity you enjoy in EVE beyond events? Perhaps exploration could suit you? As this can offer you a variety of sites to do, from hacking sites to combat sites & mining ore & huffing gas if you like that stuff.
Or organize / participate in your own events? It’s EvE’s greatest strength, that player events can put a lasting mark on the world, small & large.
A recent large player-run event was ‘Burn Jita 5’ that while destructive was indeed a player-run event involving many, from people being shot by the Burn Jita gankers to players shooting the burn Jita gankers.
There’s also quite some smaller communities that run daily shooty events, like the Bomber’s Bar & Spectre Fleet, who make roaming fleets.
With that said, the Holiday events like the Guardians gala do have merit & are a fun diversion in EvE, but if they are your sole source of entertainment, perhaps re-evaluate the time spent in EvE? Look for activities you’d enjoy beyond the holiday events?
And as mentioned Easter is coming & likely get slinked with it’s own event (Gurista-themed possibly as they got that fun Rabbit skull motif as logo)
