I'm Colliding Into Stuff Not on OVerview

In the event relic sites, I’m colliding into some stuff. However I have large collidable objects enabled on my overview. Why can’t I see what I’m smacking?

Probably because there aren’t any windows on your pod…

If you have ALL in your overview TABS, select it and go to settings. Then, “Select All” and save.

It is most likely a NON-INTERACTABLE OBJECT. CCP added these huge things to all kinds of sites for flavor and, more importantly, to prevent cloaking on the immediate grid around the warp-ins. You cannot add these to the overview.

Well that’s just dumb.

Are you completely in the middle of nowhere or near visible objects? Because their hit boxes tend to be way too big and exceed the visual objects by large degree.

I am near what looks like an asteroid, but it’s not showing up on the overview even after I fiddled with the settings.

The objects may be larger than visually indicated.

I am familiar with objects not matching their hitbox, I use the overview to avoid colliding with them, but these things I couldn’t figure out how on Earth I do so despite toggling everything on. I guess it’s a moot point since the site with the rock that couldn’t show up on the overview doesn’t spawn anymore.

I have similar issues with J-space site “non-interactable objects” which can’t be clicked/selected, visually take up half the grid but not showing on the overview at all despite setting a tab for everything selectable whatsoever - and they decloak far outside their visual real estate. Put me down for “that’s just dumb” especially where I’ve clicked on the same entities in the past. Was there some kind of patch note or any reference re: when/why they made these changes? I know that sites are spaghetti-coded with respect to how they label entities (as CadePlaysGames often gripes in his vids) but they seem to have changed J-space explo sites for the worse recently.

I say just make them large collidable objects lie any sane site. I know it is useful to chuck stuff around and make it trickier to stay cloaked, but it’s pretty stupid you can’t see them on the overview. If we’re stuck with this mess, their hitbox should match with the visuals 100%, not just some sphere around their visual real estate.

Could be an action to clean up the overview by reducing the amount of ‘warp to’ objects around hack sites, and more importantly, increase the risk. A rushing hacker has a good chance of running into an object and getting de-cloaked or ‘hung’ trying to align out, whilst a lurking experienced hunter can use this to advantage. Working as intended?
