Im confused.. (and not a new, but a returning player..)

i have a couple of ships with this… kind of text…
but for now, i will use the Leshak as the example…
traits point out, it uses ARMOR as its defense…
yet… there is a trait that adds 100% to “shield extenders”…
now from my recent experience, (the last time i played, we all had player apartments… how long did that last?)
if you combine a shield mod and an armor mod… the fitting window has a @#$% fit… telling me i am 5 years old if i think i can combine the two…
so which is it?
i think my Nightmare has the same type of trait text…

All Battleships have a generic role bonus to all tank types, up to you whether it makes sense. Captains quarter serviced no gameplay purpose and would have been too costly to bring to DX11 and new shader model. That’s why it was removed. The fitting window gives some hints what maybe a mistake, still your choice.

so i can ignore the warnings (to an extent) when it comes to mixing things up at the fittings lab…

just would be the best option to do it but you can fit your ship as you want it ! if you want a shield leshak then fly a shield leshak ! for PvE there is a niche for this, PvP would be hard to change the planed ship role but could work to

If you look at the high sec incursion groups, we use pretty much the same battleships. Vindi, and Nightmare but each group either runs a shield (WTM, Eve Rookie) or Armor (TOP, TDF, TLA) doctrine.

The bonuses let us set the ship up according to our doctrine pretty easily.
