What impressed you? When will it be released?
As a nul sec player I am usually glad if CCP leaves me alone with any changes to our game play in nul.
This may be the case here, but who knows…
Yet nullsec want to dominate the CSM and interfere with the game for others for their own game.
Cake and eat it comes to mind.
I see no purpose for the CSM as it’s downhill all the way with them according to the decline chart.
So, you mean the decline of Eve-Online is the CSMs fault?
CSM was created for PR by CCP as they saw Peak Eve coming and knew decline was after that. CSM patsies along under the pretence of being a voice of the player (nullsec) but the chart still declines for a decade+ after, get the hint. Stop participating in the charade, but, it fuels nullsecers egos.
Yeah that’s the bad thing.
The events in nullsec reverberate in the rest of the game. That’s why CCP have tried to reduce the amount of resources null sec creates via blackout, ESS and DBS. But anything that hurts the bot farms of null is met with REEEEE!
And null sec players are convinced highsec should be a noob zone and have lobbied for nerfs to hi-sec PvP, not because it helps new players, but because it meant their stuff was safer when shipping to and from hi-sec.
They are the biggest hypocrites in the game and will fight tooth and nail to keep their farming safe at the expense of the rest of the game.
Want to know when they started screwing the pooch?
Back in the Y-2 debacle, when Goons were attacking BoB in Delve. It was one of the first big Super battles, before TiDI. Goons wanted to cut the connection between Delve and Fountain, they told CCP what they planned. CCP told them flat out, it wasn’t going to work. The node was not going to handle several hundred caps and supers jumping in, when several hundred were already in system.
Goons thought they were smarter than a 5th grader, and got a cyno spot way off the grid. They jumped in, and we waited on the station for them. After 10 minutes of silence we sent out scouts and found their entire fleet frozen. We then did what any self respecting 0.0 Alliance would do, we went out and slaughtered them. We had the numbers, and we believed we would have won.
And after all of that, CCP proved the sandbox only mattered for the little people, they liked Goons and thought they were good for the game, so they gave them all their supers and titans back.
Lots of people lost hope with CCP after that.
Was this around the time CCP helping corps/alliances with the T2 Blueprints scandal?
Eve isn’t a sandbox just, at least not any more, it’s a themepark inside a sandbox.
I have long since given up on krabbing in nul sec, as high sec gives me a way more attractive risk/reward ratio.
For me the player-player-interaction in nul sec is what creates the thrilling content in Eve. Not any lore stuff introduced by CCP or stale arena fights or instanced abyssal-pve, which removes thousands of players from the sandbox and thus serves at making the game unattractive on the long run.
Bang-on and this is from a non-null player…
I’ve never even been to nullsec!
Nulled briefly, got bored, came back high to dabble lo.
Exclusive cliques are exclusive is what I’m saying. I’m not knocking the ongoing null epics, but the stories I generate in from DeeZee’s unobtrusive hints are marvellous in my own mind.
Unity is strength, but diversity is more interesting.
The mobile game has been in development for years …
