Implant mechanics stop people from playing Eve - Solution

Destriouth Hollow
“If learning implants weren’t a thing, I would probably have my chars logged in and out in enemy space constantly and only go back if I really need to”

How does me wanting to never dock and stay in enemy space continuesly equal to me having “fear to undock”. That’s the opposite of what I said. ^^ I have probably more isk lost undocked than most of the players responding here. It must be a really strange kind of fear I have (:

If I gave you 2000 bucks to stay home alone the next 3 weekends most people would probably do it. And it’s not because you fear “leaving the house”. Staying at home for 3 weekends sucks for you. It sucks for your friends. It sucks for everyone. Most people would still do it. It’s the enviroment of me paying you that forces everyone to do bad decisions. If I didn’t reward you for closing yourself in you wouldn’t do it and noone wants you to close yourself in.

If I would give you 500 thousand dollars to never touch eve again you will probably do that too. You would still prefer to keep playing eve, but you will take the money above that. With enough reward you can force people to do unfun things, that’s a fact.

CCP rewards people for staying docked. Unfun gameplay is beeing rewarded. Not enough to completly stop playing, but enough to change peoples behavior. That is bad game design and good for noone.

I can see the choice to stay docked if you are a station trader, manufacturer or just SP farm for isk.
However I think many people require undocking for generating wealth through whatever means they choose. So the choice to stay docked may end up losing far more than the choice to undock.

Additionally, there really isn’t much game enjoyment (for many) without boarding a ship and undocking.

To each their own, but I personally do not see an issue with the current implants.

The game already has a very easy mechanic that combats all of the tripe you’re spewing. Infomorph Psychology.
Jump out of your training clone, and into a combat clone, and you’re done. Don’t see a problem here.

You are trolling right? This game mechanic is a basic ingredient of the problem we are talking about and not the solution…
If you couldn’t switch clones at a whim you wouldnt’t get more SP docked so clearly cut.
