Thatâs quite the stream of thoughts he laid bare. Being on a schizophrenic high can do this. Or weed. Or weed and being a latent schizophrenic. Doesnât mean itâs really a problem. We all know heâs âoffâ, but he is absolutely harmless compared to some other schizophrenics running around on this board. Why not accept who he is and not start mixing in-game related threads (C&P) with clearly out-of-game related threads (OOPE), which not at all concern the capsuleer.
In the end is he simply doing what everyone of us ânormal folksâ are doing: Trying to be a part of a community. Thatâs unlike some other people who clearly arenât here for the social encounters, unless they can use them to their own advantage.

What is the logic for Ganking?
From what Iâve read - its usually done with a cheap and cheerful ship thatâs armed up to the eyeballs to blow you away asap. Then pick up everything thatâs dropped and make a shed load of ISK.
Fair enough and sounds like it might be fun - butâŚ
What do you do with the pile of ISK youâve made?
Go out and buy that nice shiny battleship youâve been wanting for ages? But if you do - arenât you inviting someone in that cheap and cheerful ship to come and gank you?
Or am I missing something and thatâs the whole point?
Not all gank recipients are profitable. AFK tanked orcas, for example.

In highsec, given the expense of war deccing as it stands now, it is upon occasion much cheaper and just as effective to simply gank an individual, or small group, you (and/or your group) are having a dispute with, if your opposition is even eligible to be war decced. (Remember, war decs are tied to structure ownership now, so many parties with which you come into conflict simply cannot be war decced.)
It is true multiple ganks may be needed to get your point across; but even multiple ganks may be cheaper than the rigamarole of structure and war dec fee.
I know many people may recommend hiring a merc corp to settle a dispute; but many players wonât know which mercs are reliable, or may not be able to afford the mercâs fees.
Plus, if you do it yourself (even if done on alts to preserve security status for the main) youâll have the satisfaction of knowing you did it yourself.
There is, even now in EVE, something to be said for rising, or falling, upon your own merits.
