I’m not sure why, but I can’t seem to post in the general “PvE Gameplay Center” portion of the forum. Between the two places I can post in–Ships and Missions–this is where my topic fits the most.
Recently I encountered Incursions for the first time. While they’re somewhat manageable at my current skill level, I don’t think they’re particularly enjoyable. I found the whole thing rather confusing and frankly off-putting. I can kill the rats, but it takes a long time, and they don’t have any loot, and hardly any salvage. I flew to the system where it seemed the incursion was “hosted” from, and couldn’t make any sense of what was going on. There also wasn’t anyone online who seemed to have any answers, at least in-game.
Do any of you actively participate in incursions? What’s the appeal? How do you actually manage to make any progress? Are the rewards really worthwhile?
Yes, I’m griping, but I’m also genuinely curious. I didn’t understand abyssals the first time I encountered them, but they’ve become something I don’t mind. Incursions might be the same way; perhaps there’s something I’m missing, so I’m happy to learn.
