Out of your uneducated mouth, that’s an honor.
On the other side of it you have missions that require so little effort they are completed within 12 hours of being available. These tend to be the ones more accessible to everyone, new and vets. Which leaves less skilled people with less options, if any.
Normal HS Exploration, Level 1/2 Missions and Complete 1 Courier Mission: These are all blink and you miss them. The Bulwark mining is the only one that lingered for a bit. Then you have Kill Officers, which is passive. You can’t just go out and do it, only a handful of people will complete it, so barely even counts.
Letting people contribute multiple times to the same objective was a really dumb change, as the more accessible ones on Caldari are now getting finished within an hour of downtime, preventing people from participating and filling out their war campaign achievements, which was billed as the entire point of this system.
Bring the easy Caldari campaign goals simply on the same level of the other faction. Problem solved.

is this true? can you keep contributing to a campaign even after reaching your personal goal?
No, but the personal goal limit was raised by a lot. So like instead of ”do one distribution mission” it became ”do ten distribution missions”. That made the quick and easy ones anyone could do right away disappear nigh instantly, and did nothing to help rotate out the ones nobody was doing like ”kill fifty dramiels in fw”.
Well, I’ll just say this.
The Amarr campaign looks like it’s dead.
We don’t have any more upcoming objectives. The current ones we do have are obscenely out-of-reach. Seems like people have given up and moved on. The players who want to keep contributing have been locked out.
Great design. ![]()
I don’t quite understand what the ‘campaigns’ are. Will they help out the faction you complete objectives for in any actual way in the game or lore-wise?
Yes, it will shape the narrative, part of why these campaigns end a few month before the next expansion. We know that the most direct game and lore change are which Empire the Syndicate corporations are heading towards, access to new drone tech, the renaming of Arzad II, and whether the Amarr get a shiny station similar to Jita 4-4. Success or failure will also affect the next set of campaigns and the directions that the Empires take. There are several other story threads that are in limbo that could see progress as well (drifter hives, Jita, etc)
The only faction that can outright fail are the Minmatar, the others only receive lesser successes. If the Amarr campaign fails they still get the new station model, they just don’t get the temporarily lowered taxes. If the Gallente campaign fails we still get the new mining drones, they’re just bought with ORE LP rather than from Gallente FW. If the Caldari campaign fails they still get the new stargate, it just won’t have as direct a connection, and the Syndicate LP corps go into the Gallente faction instead.
It’s the opposite actually. They still get lowered taxes (for only 3 months though) but no finished station.
Oh, good find, I didn’t know there were also going to be faction tackle on a win.
But anyway, I can assure you we’re getting the new station model either way. We’ve already seen previews of it, and they’re not going to put that level of effort into something just to scrap it.
Long overdue, if you asked me.
It’s not the first time they’ve had to scrap something. Or show something that never makes it into the game. Snakehat Vexor, Jita 4-4 Trig invasion, Angel Capitals (well one made it), etc.
It’s unclear if that actually existed, or if it was just a mockup. The latter seems much more likely. Either way a skin, even one that adds extra parts to the model, is considerably less work than a station remodel.
That was never going to happen. Jita’s star is the wrong colour, the TiDi would have made the whole system unusable, and they would have lost too many players anyway. There was never a scenario where Jita wasn’t blacklisted from the event. Granted the star colour mattering may have been retconned in after the backlash, but that doesn’t change the fact that from a practical perspective fighting in Jita would never have worked.
We actually have two of them, don’t forget the Sarathiel.
It had much much polish as the station. That’s not an in engine model of the station, it’s a collection of well done concept arts.
I agree that it would not have happened, but they still did the scene using the engine.
Ah yes looking back at the concept art I do see the Sarathiel is there.
I think that CCP wrongly read the data and thought they have more actual players than in reality. That is why those numbers are so big. Perhaps they expected that casual players will join FW to help with that. Which obviously didn’t happen.
Honestly, I think they knew exactly what would be finished and what wouldn’t be, with a smattering of true unknowns as well that could swing either way but aren’t development milestones. FC/CCP creates the game and will create things they want and destroy things they don’t want, and has since the beginning of Eve. It is THEIR sandbox after all, and we are but just sojourners in their lands…
They do not seem to understand that EVE is NOT a PvP game. No matter how much the devs wish it was it isn’t it never will be. The vast majority of people DO NOT want to engage in faction warfare or deal with low sec, of which this seems to be about funneling people into it.
The only non-LS/FW objectives for the Republic is a combat site requiring high combat skilling posing as an exploration task that effectively makes HS a more dangerous version of LS to anyone who does it, and “make 50 Valkyries” which nobody seems interested in doing either. For the most part the event is effectively closed off to anyone who does not want to participate in PvP. 8 out 9 put people in PvP situations and a 10th is upcoming that is just another PvP objective.
