It’s ok - the child does not understand how things like “being in Iceland and not moving your entire corporate structure thousands of miles to where the taxes are punitive af just so he can play with a new shiny box in a game” don’t actually happen in the real world.
A game should be about fun, absolutely nothing wrong with a couple of wagers here and there. The issue is some people may take it too far.

Excellent post that deserves a good response. I want to counter by saying its domesticating an evil. CCP has done this in the past, PLEX was an invention to counter RMT, skill injectors to counter complaints on the character bazaar and now this to counter SOMER Blink and the itch for that.
Hence it is a good thing, in my eyes.

Bad foreign companies are punished, CCP would be welcomed. Just because you live in Europe does not mean you should be jealous of the USA, just improve based on our example.

Now, let’s discuss the Relay release itself. How is this a negative change? It is not gambling, it reduces the amount of isk in the economy, and it is a fun side activity to do while mining or waiting for fleets.
Only when jealous Europeans attack the USA, I rather talk about the relay.

You fail to, I do not. You keep mentioning the USA out of jealousy, while we are trying to discuss the relay. Talk about the relay.
It was also created to “buy your buddy a sub” if they didn’t have a debit card, plex was traded quietly for a long time on the eve forum as a way of helping out people who wanted to play and to get the real life cash buyer of the plex a small amount of isk.
