Well if we don’t use the feature, then I think it will get removed. I am worried that new players who do not understand what is going on will be targeted. But we can see how this feature gets used.

this feature should be never released as it will create too much confusion and alot of abuses… you know how somer blink got ereased due to rmt and how will ccp moderate the hyperlink if people start selling illegals throught hypernet instead of regional market?
ccp should rething what they releasing because in current state it will be very dangerous matter…also we are expecting to see tos/eula change soon

I really wished that CCP had some plan to make research, manufacturing and trading jobs more profitable and fun for having different roles in the games.
Those roles are dying because of lack of profit margin. Some innovation could come there.

So… the monetised part of it is the first and main part - to whit that which creates the gambling in the first place. How is the bit that creates the gambling not a part of the gambling? I am confused, please do explain this.

Except ofc PLEX and by extension anything that can be used to purchase/trade for PLEX. So… pretty much everything ingame.
Except of course the whole “you can test it live on the test server” thing which has been done. A lot. So yeah, there is more than just the announcement as you seem to be saying.
Maybe if you were to gain the full facts instead of having an “overdramatic reation” and then possibly “calm down and get adult…” things might go better for you

Oh, IMHO it is worth looking into, as its interisting… tho, not for this specific topic. As far as this raffle is concerned, you could just use the numbers of Pi from the 100th diggit on, and most likely nobody would ever figure it out, as it looks random enough for the smal slice you see at a time.
The problem is, especially with EVE, the first opinion is never the final opinion. I’ve already had folks who were vehemently against this go try it out on Sisi and realize it’s not their worst nightmares come true.
They never did this when I was on the CSM, and if they had, we would have told them to go defend their own crap. We aren’t paid to be their shills.
LOL, no. This stuff wasn’t ready for Vegas or they’d have announced it. Everybody I talked to was worried they didn’t have enough new stuff for Vegas. If it was ready and they could have announced it, they would have.
I talk to them every day. They don’t need to defend their stuff. They’ll implement it and let the players show whether they like it or not. The last thing they’re going to do is bow to a couple of loudmouths on the forums and yank something without knowing whether players who don’t use the forums or reddit (the vast majority) like it and it makes money.

Spare me the save the children nonsense. This is a game. There are already mechanics in the game, like mutaplasmids, that are essentially gambling, and EVE had casinos and betting sites for years before they were shut down - NOT because of gambling addiction, but because of RMT. This is not new for the game, and if you don’t like it, then don’t participate.
I am sick and tired of 1% of the population dictating to the other 99% what they can and can’t do for fun.

This is legally gambling in New York State in the USA.
Most people buy a chance to win and only one person wins.
I don’t think CCP has thought this through or contacted the states’ attorney general offices.

Well, I have no interest in gambling and feel this has no place in ANY online game and as someone who recently cancelled their sub for other reasons this will NOT bring me back and in fact will encourage me to stay away.
It’s real simple people if you are opposed to this on moral grounds, which I feel there is just cause vote with your feet and cancel subs. Maybe for a month just to send a message to CCP so they hear it loud and clear. Assuming they ignore this thread which so far seems against this feature.
Worry about yourself, let other people worry about themselves. Enough of this nanny-state nonsense.
