Introducing the HyperNet Relay

Aren’t you a high sec war deccer?

The irony could choke an elephant.

oh hes a noob slapper? a guy who kills those who dont want to be part of a war? the players who either dont want to pvp or cant? he kills those players then says im a sociopath? yeah im quite stuck on who is the bigger joke honestly

EDIT

Dont let him see what goes on in open coms mate… He would call you all alcaholics and say you should get help as its obviously not healthy lmao

This argument is a lot like the one for vaccinating children. The old, “If my kid can’t bring peanut butter to school, your kid can’t bring measles”. They never stop to ask what’s actually in the shot.

I voted YES on HyperNodes because I love raffles and lotteries.

No, but thanks for trying. Not that highsec wars have any out of game consequences like gambling addiction.

It’s called basic human empathy, and your continued failure to understand this concept is why you are a sociopath. Normal healthy people do not struggle to understand why they should care if someone ends up divorced and homeless as long as they made money off that person’s suffering.

I’ll just leave him here.
Maybe he’ll take some pro bono work…

this argument is like the climate change argument like is it real or a ploy to charge more for less useful equipment. I dont care either way and i have a monster of a pc to run so give me my power i pay for it lol

i vote yes to the raffles because i can see it as a massive income generator for both ccp and myself

id make isk “not real currency” off there actions. them getting a divorce has nothing to do with me and them becoming homeless is down to their own actions. if they were able to spend enough money on plex to make themself homeless and not realise there being totaly stupid then that mistake is on them not me taking there isk or ccp taking there money.

fools and there money are easily parted mate wake up and cash in

Like I said, you’re a sociopath. Just keep digging that hole deeper.

im in a station doing market orders mate its not somewhere i can dig

Questions:
1> What happens at the end (Expires) and not all of the hyperNodes have been sold?
2> what will HyperCores cost
3> and will there be skills to lower your 5% tax rate?

and can you add a filter… ending soon

I’m not a forum whore, but I doubt there was more call for a raffle system over other features or concerns.

Enjoyable is subjective. It will be a new method, but I fail to see why it needs to exist, as contracts and in-station trades still exist; these current methods are usable at any time, from anywhere, and by anyone as well.

So RMT is involved to start the process. It may be possible to start without any RMT being used at anytime, by anybody at all, but this point is unclear. Also, what is the value of a unique ship, module, or skin, etc.? Who determines that, and by what method? Finally, all of this must be done in a station, contravening the earlier point that it can be done anywhere, as it literally cannot be done in a structure.

So the seller of the item determines how many tickets can be sold, and the value is subjective only to them and (possibly?) external market forces.

So only one key will open this lootbox, the contents of which are known. Full disclosure seems to be given as to which character had the only successful key, and all characters will know exactly where that item is located.

I fail to see how contracts and in-station trading prohibit any item from being sold, including Abyssal modules, BPCs, corpses, ship, officer modules, minerals, SKINs, and so on… Are there currently prohibitions? Are there any prohibitions planned, and why? In what way does this allow for more trading that contracts and in-station trading inherently suppress?

All the same, this quoted paragraph seems to contain a lie, and I find that lie to be the most offensive part of this whole “feature”.

Contracts, and in-station trading are currently broken for selling and buying of items in-game, and this is the only possible fix. Gotcha.

Have you even tried to read some of the thread? All of those answers and more are there for the taking.

It probably is

Oh, and btw, thanks to the https://imperium.news/ team for their 48 hrs of WTF to figure out the system was broken. (I hope I gave credit to the correct group?)

What I miss most about the game is when we used to laugh about it afterward. Players and Dev’s alike!

The 2 day downtime!

My main concern is that the system is an in-game casino full stop. It allows players to gamble tons of ISK quickly with no apparent safeguards in place. While it is possible for a user to contact EVE Online Customer Support and request to be banned from the Hypernet, this sort of self-policing does not work. It is interesting to see what horror stories come out. Am I going to spend my writer fee in 5 mins on some Hypernet Relay raffle, or most likely, am I going to get addicted and spend everything I got? Well, that’s something we find out later on.

From thet INN article.

i am laughing at how fearfull people are of this childish idea the devs had… raffles of none real items and the fallout of that by all the “think of the children and silly addicts” posts they have created/

RAFFLES HERE GET YOUR SHIPS GET YOUR FACTION MODS ITS ALL IN THE RAFFLE HOUSE ANYONE CAN STRIKE IT RICH!!!

You mean like you against me and you loosing EVERY argument we ever had because i stay strong to my opinion and so YOU playing the troll card because you have no other arrow?

WOW…funny…

I hope CCP has plans to request a license to sell online gambling. Or a good lawyer team as plan B.
Otherwise CCP is going for a rough tide when this raffle system will be considered what it really is, at least in several European countries, illegal gaming.
Repeat after me: Raffles are gambling, and gambling is illegal without a license.
It checks all the wrong boxes when you ask for tokens (HyperCore) bought with another token (PLEX) that can be bought with real money.
Don’t you guys know that Blizzard could not even give the recruit a friend promo to every countries because of such laws?
Now go back to the blackboard and writte “Raffles are gambling, and gambling is illegal without a license.” until you come out with a better idea.
