That’s a pretty boring ugly ship. I actually prefer the original to that. At least it was interesting visually
If those are howitzers that look so small on it ship hull gonna be large one it looks fine honestly need more angels.
So CCP maybe you show us more detailed infos about those current features, doing group content for hisec is like doing solo content for null, pointless.
Without group content in highsec, CCP will never have a chance of healing highseccers from the nasty disease of playing their way and not the way CCP wants them to.
“Play our way or go away” is the design guideline behind all what CCP inflicts on highsec.
He does that a lot. Keeps the discussion going after everyone else bailed out.
So you’re saying these new refineries will return more than the current maximum yield of minerals in highsec?
With skills + implant + rigs you can already achieve the maximum yield, which is soon be increased by switching to a new refinery?
I would presume that if a refinery will allow a player too exceed the current maximum yield in highsec it will have the same affect in low and nulsec space?
What increase can I expect, I now get 87.5%
Many people play EVE like a single player game, mainly because of time constraints. Grouping, fleeting, making stuff together and waiting for others is a lot of time spent doing nothing but chatting and waiting and those people would rather do something more “productive” on their own, maybe even going AFK. ISK/h being sometimes a factor. The solution is to make quick, “chime in and out” group content for high sec where they could spend time being productive, getting loot, helping others, exploding maybe, but with rewards nonetheless granted for participation.
It was announced that refineries may give slightly better yield than possible today, but to bring everything inline, the refining yield for other structures will be nerfed. In short if you want to keep your current refining rate you have to switch to a refinery.
Typical highsec balancing, they give you a potential 103% but otherwise nerf you to 80%.
Dinsdale Pirannha: “CCP never does anything for high sec, CCP only does things for PVP players”
CCP does something for high sec, adds something for PVE players
Dinsdale Pirannha: “Is that all”?
Typical Dinsdale.
Pretty much this. People in high sec said for years “give us cooperative content”, yet when it came, not only did most high sec players avoid it (even though the cost of entry was as low as a T1 battleship), but it (incursions) became something that ended up being farmed by NON-high sec players using alts. Most high sec incursion FCs I know are low and null sec players (as an example).
This new high sec content is probably yet another round in proving this. If the rewards aren’t good (and by good I mean ‘grossly unbalanced’), high sec pve players will grumble a bit and back to saving the damsel they will go.
If the rewards are worth it (ie so unbalanced it’s stupid to go to low/null/wormhole space, like incursions used to be before CCP buffed the hell out of carriers and supers), it will just spawn “resource war communities” dominated by outsiders (read NULL SEC CARTELS) like incursions did. And the high sec people will complain.
Bottom line, no matter what happens, the high sec people will complain. They don’t understand the realities of the situation, and they refuse to acknowledge that the reason they don’t cooperate in pve more isn’t lack of content, it’s their own lack of ability and willingness to cooperate with others, which is the real reason why they are high sec solo casual players to begin with.
I’m going to enjoy watching it either way.
All attempts to make highsec like the rest of the game will fail since the real value of highsec is that it is unlike the rest of the game. CCP should embrace the difference instead of fight against it by making players choose between playing like the rest of the game or don’t play.
This winter expansion will go down as yet another wasted effort of releasing content for a small minority of players and nothing for the large majority.
Any hopes that CCP Larrikin would do it better than Affinitty and RedDawn are gone now. Yeah, he has proved that he can make a fleet commanding AI and get it to work, unlike the Driter Incursion AI which never worked as intended, so the score is Larrikin & al 1 - Affinity & RedDawn 0.
But none of them has ever developed anything even remotely ressembling what floats the ship of their playerbase, and whoever insists that AI is the solution to highsec PvE should get a new job outside of the gaming industry.
Will these “resource wars” be anything like faction warfare or what…
Tryimg to decide weather or not I give a deal. No offense. I seriously hope ccp thought this through.

Flying with the alliance attached to this character is one of the things I do in EVE, yes. I also live in wormholes, run missions, mine ore and ice in highsec as well as null, and do incursions across all three security levels.Keep on trying to pigeonhole people. It makes you look real smart.
Damn and i thought I was an Eve No-Lifer - You make me look like a casual.
Oh and you just pigeon-holed yourself - As a no lifer know it all.
[Truth be known, “know it all’s” rarely do]
Will features like “resource wars” and new agency drifter event affect players standings?
I don’t want to spoil the fun but balancing ships for alphas seems kinda late. Alphas shouldn’t be permanent anyway, they should be like free unlimited trial not gamestyle (unless I don’t know something but CCP don’t earning on them anyway). Moment is missed anyway, some of us told you that before clone states. You were not prepared for them and balancing hulls won’t change a thing.
Anyway all I see here is a mess, “something something group playstyle”. I don’t see the content here for average hisec joe. Any group features will be dominated by well organised nullsec corporations. How average solo player in hisec compete with that? Suddenly they will form corps?

It was announced that refineries may give slightly better yield than possible today, but to bring everything inline, the refining yield for other structures will be nerfed. In short if you want to keep your current refining rate you have to switch to a refinery.
So they intend putting a negative attribute onto other structures to reduce the yield?
Current structures don’t have a built-in bonus to refining yet with the right rigs, skills and implants maximum yield can be achieved - Do you really see CCP handing out compensation to all those who have maximum yield refining structures.
They could just make it so rigs can be removed and placed into refineries, except there will be no small refinery so that idea won’t work.
i’ve read that all installed rigs on the current structures will be put into the hanger again and that then the player can choose what to do with them, including putting them back in.
That was also my understanding right from the start, as refining bonuses in citadels were always a transitionary stopgap.
are you saying that there is not enough space for all of us? because that’s what it means, aka “dominating”. it reads, as if you felt like there won’t be any sites left to be run, because they’ll take them all. can you clarify?
