Is EvE for you?

and respect for those that deserve it o7

like the OP, feckin spot on if ya ask me.

it does feel that way to the new pilots yes, nice easy options like keep range, orbit at, approach and so on, now what if you didn’t use those options and instead chose to fly manual.

you’ll find a marked improvement in that hands on feel  and it will also increase your chances in combat, this is what people speak of when they say a good pilot with flight experience in game.

so no auto pilot.

no using orbit at.

no using approach.

no using keep range.

using d scan repeatedly.

using keyboard shortcuts instead of point and click. (recall drones, launch drones, fire weapons, align, warp, stop, and many more.

watching your tactical view and adjusting your flight path to avade or engage another ship or in most cases multiple ships.

understanding how to use the cam view (shift+c) to lock your view on a target during combat to give you an advantage in seeing your flight path towards a ship or object quickly (great for decloaking ships in an interceptor)

so try this and tell me it’s not very hands on :eyes:

freelancer, oh freelancer, so many fond memories  fights to the point of numb hands :crazy_face:

Now there was a great game.

The EA execs that sent Bullfrog to the wall should be shot at dawn.

I couldnt really be mean to my Avatar, but those peeps could go f themselves. So many got thrown in the sea

I think the original Elite is probably a good contender for that title, wire frame graphics and all.

You guys spell Dune 2: Battle For Arrakis in such a weird way

Edit: Whoops I mis-spelled Dungeon Master just there doh

meh the best thing that came out of the Dune books, that wasn’t the books themselves, is the reference to it in Fatboy Slim’s Weapon of Choice; also Christopher Walken’s dancing.
