I think the reason Eve might be dying are the third party actors who stalk and harass you out of the game by identifying as someone in the game they are not.

Hmmm, not sure I agree with this “Eve is dying”.
I recently got back from a break and I am still very much in love with Eve, of course Eve is not perfect but the cold, dark, unfoirgiving universe is still there which is what attracted me to the game.
Eve maybe dead for you and your playstyle, but certainly not mine and many others.

Using a locked up laggy framework, to do thigns you do fast and in 100% control of before, is a step back, not forward.

Maybe on your system. A lot of those third party tools are useful for me and others. I have zero problems. While I appreciate your opinion on it being a step backwards. I do not agree. Sorry, if your system locks up and lags.
By locked up, I mean restricted and unable to do things, that you can easily do when you write the basic code yourself.
So write it.. The tools are there.. Do it. Or not as you choose.

Maybe. I hope the poster will do something. The potential to adding something positive to the game is there. But that remains the posters choice as to whether to do something or not.
That would take effort. Not going happen.

Eve in my not so humble is opinion is far from dead.. It is going through what all online games are going through. With the same basic questions and troubles. I have every Confidence that Eve Online is going to be here going into the future.
