I have said in my post they do loot/gank (I implied that) the fat freighters… That is literally their careers.

Like I think I am an industrialist. I build PI on my PI network. I build robotics actually. Am I not an industrialist because I don’t mine ice/minerals but buy ships, BPCs, and the stuff needed?
Gankers are not industrialists then because they don’t go to the source of raw materials then? I mean we all work in the massive EVE supply chain. Gankers do buy mined minerals to build ships, They buy the BPCs to make it, heck I am even sure they got a few mining alts somewhere to take a break.
dude there is a difference between those that ganker and steal other peoples ore from freighters.
people that spent hours an hours doing that. only then for gankers to come along and blow them up and steal it. with a freighter of their own. and let me put this straight. i don’t mean in null or ls. i mean they do it in hs. hey by all means if they want to do that crap in null and lo. go for it. have a whale of a time. but in hs… damn bloody right i have a problem with that.
again alot of the industrialists the ones THAT DON’T GANK. are the people supplying all the precious modules etc… suuure some gankers may manufacture ammo etc. but it again is with stuff they stole from other freighters by blowing them up in the first place.

well did you or did you not say that gankers make their own stuff and that they mine?.. i call bs on that. every time a ship freighter was ganked. yeah it most likely did have other stuff i’e modules etc. but 100% guarantee it had tons an tons an tons of ore… which is what gets taken.
what gets me is why gankers come to hs to gank industrialists and freighters in hs.
when to be honest nullsec has every single damn high valued ore in eve period. bistot etc etc… yet again they come to hs to peeve people off and take all of the ore from freighters back to the rubbish nullsec hq. which then they use to make ships etc etc
I know of plenty of groups that have a mining wing and a PVP wing, some people have characters in both. Ganking is a form of PVP (Griefing, which is separate, is not). High sec isn’t some mythical land where people are safe from other players. High Sec is literally just higher security than low sec, not 100% safe from other players land. If CCP wanted no gankers, they could make it so, but it’s not.
Industry is not all about mining ore. Apparently to be an industrialist I need to mine ore/ice?!
Because the freighters are often cargo expanded. It’s everywhere on zkill.
Alright I’ll ask you this to conclude the chat. Do you think it is right to cargo expand a freighter knowing the risk in EVE? Or that no one should steal from each other in this game? Because from what I see you would easily support no PVP in HS as ganking is a “scourge” killing everything and everywhere when it’s only like 1% of all ships that get killed in HS who go to Jita and so on.
Ganking is mainly within central HS space/trade routes also. (Caldari space especially) Because I know hundreds of people who mine on the outskirts of HS and never are bothered. Zkill can also back me up on that.
lmfao. dude thats rubbish. not every single freighter player fits them with cargo expanders. some might do that but there are those that don’t use cargo expanders…
and yes mining is a part of industrialism idiot. how else do you think manufacturers get the needed minerals. and before you go and say ooh they buy it from the eve market. dont bother. those minerals on the market are what someone else that mined ore then refined it into mineral put on it…

yes and also the mining. there is the mining. then there is extraction. then there is building ships, modules etc… all included in industrialism. but i wouldnt expect anthony gank tastic to think of it that way.

Miners surprised to find out this is a PVP game.
Mission runners that want this MMO to be a single player game.
Industrialists over anything to do with profit loss.

What about Hek Mining Association? A loose and diverse group of miners that aggressively protect their mining belts and anomalies via PvP methods available in High Sec (ganking, bumping, etc)?
Are they Good Guy Industrialist Miners or The Evil Bad Ganker Scourge in your world view?
look at the end of the day. if those ganking were to stick to null/ls id have no issue with them.
and yes i know there is nothing stopping them from coming to hs. nor has ccp done anything to prevent such.
i am simply saying that if they stayed to null and ls space systems. id have no issue with it. because as they say anyone that is silly enough to fly in ls/null thinking they wont get ganked are just fooling themselves or are stupid. but when it comes to hs space. i.e 0.7 - 1.0 and you get this suicide ganking idiots. again i will say idiots because thats what they are.
to me again it is just them doing it for crap and giggles.
and back in 2010 i did mine in nullsec. and was in a corp back then which i don’t even know if they still exist in eve. and i can’t remember now the name of it. as it was all that time back.
the only reason i went back to hs was because the corp i was in. were never on at the same time that i was. so i was never able to sell the ores that i mined. and they just keeping on building up an up.
so i moved back to hs. fast forward a few years back a friend that i knew… i told about the ore. he said sell it to me and i will pay you whatever it is worth. i got given 33 billion isk…
and as much as id love to go back and get that amount if not more in isk in this day an age. i wont because i know id be continiously ganked.
PVE players only PVE, PVP players do PVP but also very often PVE. As such pvp players are the more well rounded type of player (on average) and if some PVEer would go “well I won’t build your ships then” then quite a few PVPers will go “lol thanks, good for my profits”.
i havent always purely done industrialist stuff/mining.
i used to dabble in pvp at times. but i am not pvper. i like mining the ores… refining… and then using said materials to make modules. that is how i do my part in eve.
who uses them again i dont care. as long as they stay f away from me and don’t screw me doing mining/freighter hauling…
