Sad to admit it but I’ve bought pizza and drinks, re-subbed my account, plexed a Kronos, got more smashed and lost more ships, but still saved more money than if I had left the house.

EvE is the antithesis to thinking it’s still a good idea to go night clubbing as you get older.

Okay, so to flesh this out as I’m motivated today. That is the key of the success in Eve.

You do what you like, when you like. You can challenge yourself with a grand project or mine and mission/spin.

A barren place ful of opportunity might’ve been more appropriate?

Yes that is about right to be honest and it’s only HOW you look at things that determines how you feel. Some people go to the beach, see all the sand and think “Sandcastles!”. Others want to kickback and read a book while sitting on the sand. Some want to just walk on it. Others hate sand as it gets into your nasty bits and they just go to the park instead.

Eve is far from perfect but there is nothing really like it…

First off, what idiot would pay AUD for the game? Cheaper to get a VPN up and just order the game from a cheaper country.

Nobody. CCP only accepts payments in USD. The subscription costs the equivalent of $190 AUD. Everyone pays for their subscription using USD.

Yes. OP said a subscription is $190 Australian dollars a year and found that a bit much. Michelle Vega suggested OP instead pay for a subscription while pretending to be from a different country. CCP only has one price though and it doesn’t matter what country you’re from.

EVE is expensive for:
-New players with low income irl
-Old players with no ISK and low income irl

EVE is cheap for:
-New players with average to high income irl
-Old players with fat wallet in game.
