Is Highsec PvP Dead?

Hmm…that’s not good. I’d miss you being in Eve. Despite our disagreements, you did teach me a lot early on.

Logic suggests you should immediately leave your stagnant new player training corp and go join Destiny - maybe you’d learn another thing or two.

Oh I have plenty of chars not in AO…but none of them are particularly high SP.

Yes, we know…

Ahh I get it Aiko just gets off on arguing and insulting everyone. I’m assuming rough home life? Mommy not give them enough hugs growing up so they take it out on random people on the Internet? Listen Aiko it’s ok. We are here for you. Lashing out only makes things worse. Stop, do better.

Calm down miner.

Bringing family into a casual EVE forum meme argument, ouch.

Nah…its just for show. I’ve had thoroughly polite and civilised convo with Aiko in private.

Honestly same when she was messaging me in game asking for the facts about Winston over a year ago lol

I think most people agree that Aiko is polite and friendly.

My response was a meme response and in no way serious lol

It’s a good point though Altara.

Have you considered joining another group?

I imagine you might learn something new.

Haven’t you outgrown Absolute Order?

I think a lot of the forum banter actually spurs people on.

I think I really need to add Absolute Order to my C&P thread.

I’m already doing ‘other stuff’. Altara is primarily in Wrecking Machine and highsec stuff, but I have two chars involved in AO nullsec wars…which is relatively new stuff for me. I may make one of my Alphas into a third Omega…and that will be independent of any corp.

Silly Altara, you can’t fool us. As long as you’ve known us, haven’t you always been wrong, and we are always right? Look at you!

You are in Absolute Order, and don’t even seem to know it. Come now, let us leave this carebear alliance behind, and join something better (for your own good).

Spread your wings and leave the nest!

:hatching_chick:

AO9 is part of Wrecking Machine alliance. It does little else. It used to take part in a lot of AO wars…but that mostly got moved over to AO7 and other sub-corps.

I have 15 chars. Some were never in the nest

I also have some characters that don’t do anything.

Sure, but you don’t have any proof of misdirection do you? So, all you have to go on is conjecture.

And if you’re not going to believe them on this note, then you pretty much have to discard anything they might say.

So you’re even less informed than I was giving you credit for. My mistake.

I thought it was changed when the citadel war mechanics were introduced.

That’s false equivocation. I don’t know if Red vs Blue is still active, but they used to do just that.

The problem is your war requests are spam. True, a lot of people wont want to engage, but there are those who will. Because they do, in different environments.

No, faction warfare is closer to my ideal - at least in how it’s related to EVE anyway. I’ve never liked any wardec system in any game as it always feels overly artificial.

Plus gate and station games suck. Which is why my first post in this thread suggested adding ess to highsec. It’s not perfect, but at least it would pull the fighting off the areas people can escape danger easily. The carebears would complain of course, but people in highsec probably make too much money relative to the more dangerous parts of space anyway.

Sure, but those examples are anecdotal. Whether it’s people who complain about ganking or lack of ganking, or w/e the issue is, those figures aren’t helpful, because you don’t have the overall numbers and you’re not accounting for all the variables.

The only people who have some of those numbers, is CCP. But apparently, as Destiny suggested, they can’t be trusted to tell us the truth. /sarc

So you guys are just pissing into the wind on this.

If you think that CCP, a for-profit company with no independent oversight, is banning paid accounts, you must be on drugs.

Also, you have a fundamental misunderstanding of what bots are and how they work, whereas I don’t because they literally paid for my college education. The bots that CCP is “banning” can’t affect the player count, because they’re instantly replaced. In most cases they’re Alpha accounts that can’t be traced to individual owners because each one is on a unique network, hardware ID, and personal information. The ISK is easily laundered through tax shelters, fees, and other systems. This is why the people selling the ISK on game currency websites have been the same exact people for five, ten, even fifteen years.

Ad hominem? Okay. That can get turned around on you very quickly. Watch:

So you made assumptions without knowing the truth, but are calling other people uninformed?

Once again, making assumptions about stuff you don’t know. RvB was a single organization split into two separate components to facilitate two relatively even sides fighting an artificial war. It wasn’t two random groups agreeing to fight each other. This is entirely different from trying to convince strangers to have a mutual war with you.

How do you know this? This is pure conjecture, and unlike you, I actually have a large sample size of data to work with from personal experimentation.

And CCP doesn’t even release the data that they have, so how can you trust something you haven’t even seen, based solely on the source it’s coming from? Seems like a desperate appeal to authority to me. CCP has a rich and vibrant history of outright lies and deception toward their customers. No sane person would accept their claims as the truth without a lot of supporting evidence, which they refuse to provide.
